The RWATCH R10 is an older watch phone, not simply a Bluetooth smartwatch: historical reviews say its micro-SIM slot lets it make calls independently, while Bluetooth connects it to a smartphone for other functions. It has a small 1.54-inch, 240 × 240 display and basic activity features, but it is not waterproof, and current app support and availability are unconfirmed.
What the RWATCH R10 is
The RWATCH R10 is a legacy smartwatch with watch-phone features. Reviews from 2015 and a product report from 2017 describe a square color touchscreen, microphone and speaker, Bluetooth connectivity, and a micro-SIM slot for cellular use. Walyou specifies 2G for cellular use, so the reports do not establish compatibility with current mobile networks or carriers. The Tech Hacker’s 2015 review, Walyou’s review, and Die Smartwatch’s 2017 report cover this older model; specifications for newer watches also called R10 should not be attributed to it.

Does the RWATCH R10 need a phone?
Not for every function. Historical reviews describe the micro-SIM version as able to make calls independently, and Walyou also says it supports texting. That cellular capability is distinct from Bluetooth pairing: features such as smartphone notifications and remote music or camera controls rely on connecting the watch to a phone. The sources do not establish which specific features work without pairing or whether the required companion apps remain available.
What can it do?
Across the reviews, the R10’s feature set includes a microphone and speaker, notifications, a pedometer, heart-rate and sleep monitoring, a compass, a find-phone function, and music and camera remote controls. These are basic functions rather than evidence of health-grade measurement. Reviews disagree about the heart-rate experience: one reviewer could not get readings to appear in the companion app, while a Tweakers owner described using the feature. That difference does not establish sensor accuracy. Walyou; Tweakers

Screen, controls and everyday usability
The 1.54-inch square screen is compact, and an owner review says it can be difficult to read in sunlight. The same Tweakers review describes rough software and awkward functions, and says the time must be set manually. These are individual reviewer observations, not independently reproduced tests. Die Smartwatch reports a 380 mAh battery and relays a manufacturer estimate of four to five days under normal use. This is a historical claim, not a measured runtime; actual endurance would depend on calling, screen use, Bluetooth and other activity. Walyou says the original box included a USB cable, but does not identify the connector or confirm the compatibility of replacement cables. Die Smartwatch; Walyou
Is the RWATCH R10 waterproof?
No. Walyou explicitly describes the RWATCH R10 as not waterproof. Do not treat it as suitable for swimming, showering or exposure to rain. Water-resistance claims attached to later, unrelated R10-branded watches do not apply to this model. Walyou review
Band and fit
A Tweakers owner says the silicone strap is not replaceable. That limits options if it wears out or does not fit comfortably; the evidence does not establish a compatible replacement strap. The owner’s 64 g figure is for the watch body without the strap, so it is not the complete on-wrist weight. Tweakers
App support and buying one today
Historical sources call the companion software “Rwatch” and “Bluewatch,” and Tweakers records a dated Android 3.0+/iOS 5+ compatibility claim. Those old labels and requirements do not confirm that the apps are currently available or work with present-day phones. Current stock, carrier compatibility, replacement-part availability and official support are likewise not established.
Historical prices are not current guidance: The Tech Hacker gave a 2015 price of $48.99, while Die Smartwatch reported a price below €25 in 2017. Neither figure establishes what a used or remaining-stock R10 costs today. If evaluating a listing, verify that it is the older micro-SIM model with the 1.54-inch square display, rather than another manufacturer’s R10 watch. The Tech Hacker; Die Smartwatch
Who should consider the RWATCH R10?
The R10’s distinguishing idea is standalone calling through a micro-SIM, paired with simple smartwatch functions. That may interest someone assessing an inexpensive legacy watch phone, but a purchase depends on verifying that the particular device, network and companion features still work. Its reported lack of water protection, fixed strap, sunlight-readability concern and uncertain current app support make it a poor fit for someone seeking a dependable modern everyday smartwatch.
