Fratello’s launch coverage is the source for these reported specifications. A particular strap’s fit should be confirmed with RZE before buying a replacement: RZE lists 18mm straps, but that alone does not establish compatibility with the Urbanist.
Is the RZE Urbanist solar-powered?
Yes. Fratello identifies its movement as a Miyota solar-powered quartz caliber. Solar quartz combines a quartz timekeeping movement with a rechargeable power system; it is not a mechanical watch. The available source does not establish battery-change intervals or a specific operating reserve, so those figures should not be assumed.

Why does the production watch have a push-in crown?
Fratello’s editor’s note says production models changed from a screw-down crown to a push-in crown to increase longevity and prevent wear on the movement. The same note says the change did not affect the stated 100m water-resistance rating. This is the publication’s report of the production update, not a substitute for the manufacturer’s current model-specific guidance.
What does RZE’s warranty cover?
RZE’s FAQ separates the general watch warranty from the solar movement guarantee. According to the RZE FAQ, the general warranty covers material or workmanship defects under normal and reasonable use for 24 months after purchase through RZE or an authorized retailer. It excludes, among other limitations, water damage, misuse, negligence and routine service.

For the Urbanist’s Miyota solar movement, RZE states: “Selected for its maintenance free reliability, the Miyota Solar Movement in the Urbanist and the Digital Module in UTD is guaranteed for life against defects and malfunction.” RZE excludes battery changes from that lifetime movement guarantee. Check the FAQ’s current wording and conditions before relying on coverage, since policy terms can change.
