Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallShort answer: the Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro are good premium earbuds, but they are no longer an automatic recommendation. Buy them discounted—especially if you own a Samsung Galaxy phone. They sound engaging and offer a rich set of adaptive features, yet their real-world battery life and ANC are only average, while iPhone and gaming support are notably limited.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro are worth buying in 2026 only at a meaningful discount—and mainly if you use a Samsung Galaxy phone. They deliver lively, detailed sound, a light 5.4-gram design, wireless charging, useful adaptive listening modes, and IP57-rated earbuds. Their weaknesses are equally clear: noise cancellation is good rather than class-leading, real-world battery life is ordinary, Bluetooth gaming latency is high, and many of their best features disappear outside Samsung’s ecosystem.

Design: light, distinctive, and more controllable than the old Buds shape
The Buds3 Pro mark a substantial visual change for Samsung’s premium earbuds. Instead of the rounded, stemless shape used by earlier Galaxy Buds Pro models, they use a stem or “blade” design. Each blade has a light strip that gives the earbuds their signature look, although the lighting is primarily cosmetic rather than a major functional feature.
At 5.4g per earbud, they are genuinely light. The silicone ear tips provide the seal needed for bass, passive isolation, and ANC, while the stem leaves enough room for physical-style pinch and swipe interactions. Pinching the blade is less prone to accidental activation than some touch controls, and swiping provides a convenient way to adjust volume without reaching for a phone.
#1 Best Overall
- 2-in-1 Charging Case and Phone Stand: Enjoy hands-free viewing without the hassle. Simply open the back panel of the case, place your phone on the stand, and catch up on your favorite shows—watching while traveling has never been easier!
- Strong and Smart Noise Cancelling: Reduce noise by up to 42dB with an advanced active noise cancelling system. With adaptive technology, soundocre P30i detects external sound and automatically selects a level of noise cancelling optimized for your ears.
- Transparency Mode: Let in the world or focus on your audio, the choice is yours. Simply switch to transparency mode to hear the world around you when needed.
- Powerful Bass: Unleash deep, punchy bass with soundcore P30i noise cancelling earbuds' 10mm drivers, amplified by the soundcore exclusive BassUp technology for an immersive, robust audio experience.
- Long-Lasting Convenience: Enjoy up to 10 hours of playtime (6 hours with ANC) on a single charge, and up to 45 hours with the case (25 hours with ANC). A quick 10-minute charge provides 2 hours of use, perfect for your on-the-go lifestyle.
The design is comfortable for many users, but earbud fit is personal. A poor seal can make the Buds3 Pro sound thin, reduce bass, and undermine noise cancellation. Try all supplied tip sizes before judging either the sound or ANC performance.
Sound quality: energetic and detailed, not universally the best
Independent listening tests broadly agree that the Galaxy Buds3 Pro sound good. What Hi-Fi? found them forward, energetic, and musically engaging, while SoundGuys also regarded their sound quality as competitive—particularly when they were paired with a Samsung device capable of using Samsung’s higher-bitrate codec.
The most accurate description is lively, clear, and detailed. They are a good match for listeners who want presence and excitement rather than a deliberately subdued presentation. That does not make them the universally best-sounding premium earbuds. Some listeners will prefer a more neutral or relaxed tuning from a competing model, and the final result depends heavily on ear-tip seal, EQ, ANC mode, phone, codec, and firmware.
Samsung advertises up to 24-bit/96-kHz Ultra High Quality audio, but that specification needs context. It is not a universal Bluetooth capability that applies equally to an iPhone, Windows laptop, game console, and Galaxy phone. The highest-resolution experience depends on a compatible Samsung device and supported codec path. With another source device, the Buds3 Pro still function as Bluetooth earbuds, but you should not assume you are receiving Samsung’s maximum advertised audio mode.
ANC and ambient sound: useful, but not class-leading
The Buds3 Pro offer standard active noise cancellation, adaptive ANC, ambient sound, and intelligent modes intended to react to speech or environmental sounds. In normal use, they can make a commute, office, coffee shop, or ordinary flight substantially quieter.
Independent measurements are more restrained than Samsung’s feature list. SoundGuys found that the earbuds blocked a substantial amount of outside noise, but cancelled less than the strongest products at this price. The difference is most important for frequent flyers and people who want maximum low-frequency reduction from aircraft engines or public transport.
Adaptive ANC should not automatically be read as stronger ANC. It is a processing feature designed to adjust to conditions; the physical seal and the quality of the fit still matter. If one ear tip is loose, the earbuds may seem to have weak bass and poor cancellation even when the electronics are operating normally.

Simply tap the earbuds wireless bluetooth to control music playback, manage calls, or wake your voice assistant—hands-free convenience, no phone needed.
- 36 Hours Playtime & Faster Charging: Enjoy 6–8 hours of uninterrupted listening on one charge, with up to 36 hours of total battery life when used with the charging case. The Type-C fast charging design delivers safer, more efficient power, keeping your noise cancelling headphones ready whenever you need them.

The ergonomic in-ear design and soft silicone tips provide a secure, comfortable fit while keeping outside noise out, letting you immerse yourself fully in your music.
Ambient sound is more useful when you need awareness without removing the earbuds. Voice and siren detection can respond to speech or warning sounds, but their availability and behavior depend on the connected phone, Samsung software, operating-system version, and settings. These are valuable Galaxy features, not guaranteed identical experiences on every Bluetooth source.

Calls and voice features
Six microphones support calls, voice commands, and the Buds3 Pro’s voice-related features. Samsung also lists super-wideband calling on compatible devices. When the phone supports the necessary mode, this can improve the call experience, but “super-wideband” is not a universal result with every handset or calling service.
Galaxy users also get the strongest integration with Samsung’s voice and AI-related functions. On an iPhone, PC, or other non-Samsung source, the Buds3 Pro should be evaluated primarily as conventional Bluetooth headphones. The hardware remains usable, but the complete Galaxy feature set does not travel with it.
Battery life: acceptable on paper, merely average in testing
Samsung rates the earbuds for up to 7 hours of playback per charge and 30 hours including the case with ANC turned off. With ANC on, the figures fall to up to 6 hours per charge and 26 hours total.
Those are maximum claims, not a guarantee of everyday listening time. In a standardized test, SoundGuys measured 4 hours and 31 minutes. That is enough for many commutes and work sessions, but it is well below the official maximum and less impressive than the endurance offered by some premium rivals.
The practical verdict is adequate rather than exceptional. If you regularly spend an entire workday away from a charger, fly long-haul, or use ANC continuously, battery life should be part of the buying decision rather than an afterthought.
Charging and ownership accessories
The case charges through USB-C and supports compatible wireless charging pads. Samsung also says a compatible Galaxy phone can charge the case through Wireless PowerShare. That is convenient if you already carry a recent Galaxy phone, though it is slower and less practical than using a dedicated charger for routine charging.

If you want cable-free charging at a desk or bedside table, a Qi wireless charging pad is a sensible accessory category. Check that any case cover you add does not interfere with the charging coil or prevent the case from sitting flat.
IP57 protection: reassuring, but not a swimming rating
Samsung rates the earbuds IP57. That is a stronger dust- and water-resistance claim than many everyday earbuds carry, and it provides useful protection against sweat, rain, and accidental exposure under appropriate conditions.

It does not mean the Buds3 Pro are swimming earbuds. Do not deliberately submerge them, use them in a pool, or treat the charging case as water-resistant. The IP57 claim applies to the earbuds, not the case; keep the case dry before placing wet earbuds inside it.
The ear-tip quality-control issue buyers should know about
The replaceable silicone tips deserve a specific warning. During the original July 2024 rollout, reports that the tips could tear during removal led Samsung to temporarily suspend deliveries while it conducted a quality-control evaluation. Samsung’s own user guidance warns against pulling the tips excessively.
This is a documented launch-history issue, not proof that every later retail unit will fail. Still, inspect the tips when you receive the earbuds and remove them carefully: grip the base of the tip rather than yanking the outer silicone. If a tip is damaged or you need a different fit, check the exact SM-R630 compatibility before ordering Galaxy Buds3 Pro replacement ear tips. Do not assume that a generic Galaxy Buds tip will fit correctly or seal properly.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Galaxy phone integration is the main reason to buy
The Buds3 Pro can pair with Android devices and iPhones over Bluetooth, but the ownership experience changes considerably depending on the phone.
- Samsung Galaxy phone: This is the ideal pairing. You can use Galaxy Wearable for controls and settings, Samsung-specific codec support, Auto Switch between compatible Galaxy devices, SmartThings Find, 360 Audio, and supported Galaxy AI-related features.
- Other Android phone: Basic Bluetooth playback and calls are available, and some Android software support may work, but Samsung-specific features may be limited or unavailable.
- iPhone: Samsung’s support documentation lists the Buds3 Pro as Bluetooth-only on iOS. They can stream audio and handle calls, but you do not get the full Galaxy Buds app experience and its associated controls.
- Windows PC or Mac: They can be used as Bluetooth earbuds. Samsung provides firmware-update routes through Galaxy Wearable or Galaxy Buds Manager for compatible computers, but the complete Galaxy phone integration is not reproduced.
- Game console: Compatibility depends on the console and its Bluetooth support. Even when pairing works, independent testing from RTINGS found elevated Bluetooth latency, with no wired or dedicated low-latency gaming connection.
This platform split is more important than the specification sheet. A Galaxy owner may reasonably value Auto Switch, SmartThings Find, adaptive features, and Samsung’s audio modes enough to choose the Buds3 Pro over technically similar alternatives. An iPhone owner should compare them with AirPods and other cross-platform earbuds instead of paying for Samsung features they cannot fully use.

Firmware and software support
Firmware updates are delivered through the Galaxy Wearable app or Galaxy Buds Manager on compatible computers. Updates can affect behavior, compatibility, and performance, so a review or buyer comparison should always identify the firmware date when reporting a specific result.
There is no single firmware version that can safely be presented as universal for every region, phone, and computer. If a feature is missing, first update the relevant Samsung app, check the earbuds and case charge levels, install any available firmware, and then recheck the feature’s device requirements.
How the Buds3 Pro compare in 2026
The Buds3 Pro launched as Samsung’s 2024 premium earbuds, but they are no longer the company’s newest flagship. Samsung introduced the Galaxy Buds4 Pro in February 2026 and now lists that model as its current premium option.
That does not make the Buds3 Pro obsolete. It changes the price test. A discounted Buds3 Pro can be appealing if you use a Galaxy phone and prefer its sound, fit, or blade design. A purchase near the price of the newer Galaxy Buds4 Pro is much harder to justify without a specific reason to choose the older model. The newer model should be included in any current comparison, although newer does not automatically mean better for every listener and this review does not substitute for a direct head-to-head test.
Buyers who prioritize maximum ANC, marathon battery life, iPhone integration, or low-latency gaming should also consider premium noise-cancelling earbuds from competing ecosystems. The Buds3 Pro’s strengths are real, but they are concentrated in Samsung compatibility and an engaging all-round listening experience rather than in one undisputed class-leading metric.
Who should buy the Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro?
- Galaxy phone owners who want the deepest Samsung integration.
- Listeners who prefer a forward, energetic sound.
- People who want light earbuds with physical-style pinch and swipe controls.
- Buyers who value wireless charging, adaptive audio features, and IP57-rated earbuds.
- Anyone finding the Buds3 Pro at a clear discount to the Buds4 Pro.
Who should skip them?
- iPhone owners who want a full companion app and deep operating-system integration.
- Frequent flyers who prioritize the strongest available ANC and longest battery life.
- Competitive gamers who need reliably low latency or a wired connection.
- Full-price shoppers paying close to current-flagship pricing when the Buds4 Pro are available.
- Listeners seeking a neutral tuning if they do not enjoy a more forward presentation.
Final verdict
The Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro are a strong, complete pair of premium earbuds—but their value depends on the phone in your pocket and the price on the shelf. They combine light comfort, engaging sound, adaptive listening features, wireless charging, and useful durability in a polished package. Their ANC and battery life are good rather than exceptional, the ear-tip issue remains worth understanding, and the best software features are firmly tied to Galaxy devices.
In 2026, buy the Buds3 Pro discounted and mainly for a Samsung Galaxy phone. At or near the price of Samsung’s newer flagship, the case for choosing them becomes much weaker.
