Early 2027 is a rumored window reported by Android Central, citing EtNews—not a confirmed Samsung launch plan.
When is the Samsung Galaxy Ring 2 coming out?
There is no confirmed release date. Android Central, relaying a report from EtNews, says Samsung may skip a 2026 launch and unveil the ring in early 2027. Treat that as a reported possibility, not a schedule from Samsung.
Has Samsung confirmed the Galaxy Ring 2?
Samsung has confirmed development, but not a product launch, release window, or specification list. Android Authority reports that Hon Pak, Samsung’s senior vice president and head of its Digital Health Team, said the next-generation ring is in development. Pak also described software and services as a key area of differentiation among smart rings; his remarks were reported from an interview with Forbes, rather than announced in a Samsung product release.
What features might the next ring have?
The EtNews report relayed by Android Central says Samsung may be working on temperature sensing, more accurate sleep data, improved comfort, and broader cardiovascular insights. These are rumored development priorities, not confirmed Galaxy Ring 2 features. Samsung has not published specifications for the successor.

Buy the current Galaxy Ring or wait?
The first-generation Galaxy Ring is the only model with established features and official product details. Samsung says it integrates health insights with Samsung Health and comes with a charging case. Samsung announced that the existing ring expanded to sizes 5–15 and 53 markets in 2025; those historical figures do not establish current availability everywhere or the successor’s size range.
Battery figures also apply to the existing ring, not a future model. Samsung’s Japan newsroom states a tested battery life of up to six days for sizes 5–11 and up to seven days for sizes 12–15, under its described usage assumptions, and notes that actual results vary.
