Samsung announced the Galaxy Ring in Brazil on 18 September 2024 at a suggested launch price of R$3,499. The advertised R$500 discount was a limited pre-registration promotion: registration closed on 17 September 2024, and the purchase window ended on 18 October 2024. It is not a discount readers can redeem now.
What the Galaxy Ring cost at launch in Brazil
Samsung opened pre-orders in Brazil on 18 September 2024 and listed a suggested price of R$3,499. The company said official sales began on 18 October 2024. These are launch-era details; they do not confirm current pricing or stock. Samsung Newsroom Brasil’s launch announcement and its 18 October sales announcement document those dates.
Who qualified for the R$500 discount—and when
The R$500 reduction came from a Samsung promotion with specific registration and purchase requirements, not a permanent price cut. Under Samsung Brasil’s official campaign rules, participants had to be at least 18, have a Brazilian CPF, and pre-register through Samsung’s designated page between 00:00 on 2 September and 23:59 on 17 September 2024.
Qualifying participants then had to purchase the Galaxy Ring through Samsung’s online store, app, or Store+ during the campaign period, 18 September through 18 October 2024, using the same registration details. The R$500 discount was applied in the shopping cart, was limited to one use per participant, and could not be exchanged for cash. Every date in that redemption period has passed; the cited rules establish no replacement offer.

Sizes, fit, and the launch-era sizing process
Samsung listed nine sizes, from 5 through 13, and three titanium finishes: black, silver, and gold. The Brazil launch announcement gives dimensions of 7.0 mm wide and 2.6 mm thick, with weight ranging from 2.3 g for size 5 to 3.0 g for size 13. These are the manufacturer’s launch specifications, not confirmation of current availability.
For the original launch purchase process, Samsung said customers could use a sizing kit in store with help from a sales consultant. Online customers who did not know their size could obtain a kit for R$99; Samsung said the amount would automatically become credit toward the subsequent ring purchase if the stated steps were followed and the same account email was used. This describes launch-era guidance only; check Samsung’s current terms before relying on the kit or its price.

Compatibility and Samsung’s stated specifications
Samsung specified Android 11 or later and more than 1.5 GB of memory for compatibility. Its launch announcement also describes using the Galaxy Wearable and Samsung Health apps and a Samsung account. Check that your phone meets those requirements before considering the ring.
The company lists an accelerometer, a PPG sensor, and a skin-temperature sensor, along with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) 5.4 connectivity. Samsung specifies Grade 5 titanium, 10 ATM and IP68 ratings, and battery life of up to seven days. Its charging example says the battery reaches 40% after 30 minutes. These are Samsung-published specifications, not independent test results; actual battery life can depend on use.
