Samsung has officially announced Galaxy Watch9, Galaxy Watch Ultra2, and the Galaxy Tab S12 series. The watches went on sale in select markets beginning August 7, 2026, while U.S. availability for the Tab S12 Ultra and Tab S12+ begins October 7, 2026; Samsung lists U.S. starting prices of $1,399.99 and $1,199.99, respectively.
The watches target different needs: Watch9 is Samsung’s everyday health-tracking option, while Ultra2 is positioned for demanding training and outdoor activities. For tablets, the main choice is between the Ultra’s 14.6-inch screen and the S12+’s 12.6-inch screen. Specifications, prices, and availability may vary by market.
What the original leak actually confirmed
The first report was based on entries in the GSMA database, not on a Samsung launch announcement. It pointed to Samsung watches and a next premium Galaxy Tab generation in development. Those entries were early development evidence, not final public product disclosures.
The reported watch identifiers were SM-L345, associated with Galaxy Watch9, and SM-L716, associated with Galaxy Watch Ultra2. Samsung has since officially announced the watches and the Tab S12 series. The early identifiers did not establish retail specifications or prices.

Availability and buying advice
Samsung’s watch release says preorders began in select markets on July 22, 2026, and general availability began August 7. That timing should not be treated as identical in every country. Samsung lists U.S. starting prices of $1,399.99 for Tab S12 Ultra and $1,199.99 for Tab S12+, with U.S. availability beginning October 7, 2026. Prices and promotions are launch-announcement details, not guaranteed live offers.
Choose Watch9 if Samsung’s everyday health-tracking feature set and smaller case options fit your needs; consider Ultra2 for its larger rugged design and outdoor-focused features. For tablets, choose the Ultra if you want the larger 14.6-inch display, or the S12+ if you prefer a 12.6-inch model with lower U.S. starting price. Check local pricing, stock, connectivity, and configuration before ordering.
