The rollout started in 49 markets and expanded to more than 110; it was not a simultaneous release in every country. As of August 18, 2026, that date is historical launch information, not confirmation of current local stock.
What Samsung launched
The global announcement covered four named devices, alongside a related foldable model included in Samsung’s U.S. launch communications:
| Model | What it is | What to check locally |
|---|---|---|
| Galaxy Z Fold7 | Premium book-style foldable that opens to a large, tablet-like inner display. Samsung’s U.S. specification sheet lists a Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, Samsung DeX support, and a 200-megapixel main camera. | Storage, color, price, warranty, and availability. The cited specifications are for the U.S. model. |
| Galaxy Z Flip7 | Clamshell foldable that opens into a conventional smartphone shape and folds compactly. Its cover display supports quick interactions and camera framing. | Local configuration and price; it is not a smaller version of the Fold7 and is less suited to tablet-style multitasking. |
| Galaxy Z Flip7 FE | A separate, more accessible Flip-family model, not merely a storage option for the standard Flip7. Samsung included it in U.S. launch materials. | Whether it is sold in your country and which configurations are offered. |
| Galaxy Watch8 | The mainstream smartwatch in the Watch8 family. | Case size, Bluetooth or LTE version, phone compatibility, and local support for individual health functions. |
| Galaxy Watch8 Classic | A distinct Watch8 model with a more traditional watch design and physical controls, rather than simply a color or band variant. | Local availability and configuration. |
Samsung’s global availability announcement names the Fold7, Flip7, Watch8, and Watch8 Classic; its U.S. launch coverage also includes the Flip7 FE. That does not establish that every model or configuration is sold in every market. See Samsung’s global launch announcement and its U.S. launch announcement.
When sales began—and what “worldwide” means
Samsung gave July 25, 2025, as the global retail start date. The company described an initial rollout in 49 markets followed by expansion to more than 110 markets worldwide. “Worldwide” therefore means broad international availability, not every country, territory, retailer, or configuration at once. Samsung’s Mobile Press announcement sets out that phased rollout.

Regional dates could differ: Samsung South Africa, for example, listed store availability beginning August 1, 2025. A market’s inclusion in the rollout also does not guarantee that a particular color, storage tier, carrier model, or LTE watch remains in stock today. Samsung’s South Africa announcement gives that market’s later date.
For current purchasing, check the Samsung store for your country and, where relevant, local carriers and authorized retailers. A product page or past launch announcement cannot confirm immediate delivery, current inventory, or a live promotion in August 2026.

Which model fits which buyer?
Choose the Fold7 for a larger working screen
The Fold7 is the option for readers who want a phone that opens into a larger workspace for multitasking, reading, documents, or media. Samsung lists DeX support and the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy platform on its U.S. Fold7 specification sheet. Its premium pricing, larger folded form, and the potential cost of foldable repairs make local warranty and protection terms worth checking before purchase.
Choose the Flip7 for a compact folded phone
The Flip7 prioritizes a smaller folded footprint and cover-screen interactions rather than the Fold7’s tablet-like inner display. Consider the Flip7 FE separately: Samsung identifies it as a related but distinct model, so compare its local specifications and price rather than assuming it matches the standard Flip7.

Choose between Watch8 and Watch8 Classic by design and controls
The Watch8 is the mainstream smartwatch choice in this family; the Classic is aimed at buyers who prefer a more traditional watch appearance and physical controls. Confirm the case size and whether the version is Bluetooth or LTE in your market. No Watch8 price is established by the cited Samsung U.S. price file.

Checks to make before ordering, especially across borders
- Phone compatibility: Check the watch’s supported Android phone requirements for your country and intended functions.
- LTE service: Confirm carrier support for the exact watch model and region, not just that a Watch8 LTE version exists somewhere.
- Health features: Availability can depend on country or regulatory approval, phone, account, and Samsung apps. Do not assume that every health function works with every phone or in every market.
- Imported devices: Verify warranty and repair coverage, network bands, eSIM or LTE activation, regional software, and access to services such as Samsung Wallet before buying an import.
- Stock and offers: Check the exact color and configuration at checkout. Launch promotions—including the limited Google AI Pro and 2TB cloud-storage offer Samsung mentioned for certain Galaxy Z devices—had market-specific terms and should not be treated as a permanent benefit.
