Samsung announced One UI 8 Watch availability for the Galaxy Watch Ultra on July 22, 2025, and said the update would roll out progressively to earlier Galaxy Watch models. That date does not establish when every region or watch received the update. The release brought selected health features and interface elements introduced with the Galaxy Watch8 series, with availability varying by model, market, and paired phone.
What Samsung announced
Samsung’s July 22 announcement named Running Coach, Vascular Load, Antioxidant Index, Multi-Info Tiles, and Now Bar among the One UI 8 Watch features coming to the Galaxy Watch Ultra. Samsung said previous Galaxy Watch models would receive the update progressively, but did not provide a complete model-by-model or region-by-region schedule.
Samsung cautions that feature availability can vary by market, model, and paired phone. Some features also require Samsung Health, a Samsung account, a compatible Galaxy phone, or network access.

What is known about the rollout
Samsung’s July 22, 2025 announcement establishes availability for the Galaxy Watch Ultra and says earlier Galaxy Watch models would receive One UI 8 Watch progressively. It does not document exact dates for each model, carrier, or country. Because software rollout status is market-specific, the announcement alone cannot confirm whether an update is currently available for a particular watch.
Check Samsung’s update support information for your exact watch model and market before relying on device-specific availability. Samsung also advises that feature access may depend on the paired phone and other requirements.

Are Vascular Load and Antioxidant Index medical tests?
No. Samsung describes them as wellness measurements, not for medical use or diagnosis. Their availability and setup requirements also vary.
What does Running Coach require?
