The Seiko 5 Sports Retro Colour trio comprises the New Rally Diver SRPK09K1, New Double Hurricane SRPK11K1 and New Regatta Timer SRPK13K1. They share a late-1960s-inspired design approach, but their dial and bezel colors give each a distinct look. The SRPK17K1 is a separate 55th Anniversary limited edition, not one of these three models.
What are the Seiko 5 Sports Retro Colour models?
The three non-limited Retro Colour designs were introduced alongside a separate limited-edition anniversary watch. An independent overview published July 12, 2025 describes the trio as paying tribute to late-1960s Seiko 5 Sports designs. Their common visual cues include baton indexes, orange seconds hands and blacked-out day/date windows.

SEIKO SSK001 Automatic Watch for Men - 5 Sports GMT, SKX Series - Blue | $495.00 | Buy on Amazon |
Seiko describes the SRPK09K1 specifically as drawing on its late-1960s watches, with a case based on the SKX series and a bezel resembling original 1960s models. Seiko names the 5126-8130 Rally Diver as that model’s historical inspiration; this is the manufacturer’s design attribution, rather than an independently verified account of the watch’s provenance.
What is the difference between the SRPK09, SRPK11 and SRPK13?
The most apparent difference is the color and treatment of each dial, bezel and inner flange. The overview identifies the models as follows:
#1 Best Overall
- BLUE DIAL: this handsome men’s watch features a striking deep blue dial with luminous dial indicator hands and markers and date calendar to keep you organized
- BLUE & BLACK BEZEL: with a 24-hour bezel and easy-to-read fourth hand, this GMT watch helps you keep time as you travel
- DURABLE UTILITY: these versatile men’s wrist watches feature a 42.5mm stainless steel watch case and bracelet, for a classic, timeless look.
- WATER-RESISTANT: this rugged sports watch is water-resistant up to 100 meters
- 4R34 CALIBER: equipped with the reliable 4R34 caliber, these automatic watches for men ensure the most accurate in self winding timekeeping, with 41 hours of reserve power and manual winding option
| Model | Design name | Dial, bezel and flange |
|---|---|---|
| SRPK09K1 | New Rally Diver | Silver dial, gray flange and silver-and-black checkerboard-style bezel |
| SRPK11K1 | New Double Hurricane | Orange dial and black bezel; flange color not stated in the July 12, 2025 overview |
| SRPK13K1 | New Regatta Timer | Black dial, red and silver bezel markings, and blue-green flange |
These details are from the independent overview dated July 12, 2025. If you want a more restrained dial, the SRPK09’s silver treatment is the clearest fit. The SRPK11 makes orange the dominant color, while the SRPK13 combines a black dial with more graphic bezel markings and a blue-green flange.
How big is the Seiko 5 Sports SRPK09?
Seiko Boutique lists the SRPK09K1 at 42.5 mm in diameter, 13.4 mm thick and 46.0 mm from end to end, with a 22.0 mm lug width. These are manufacturer-listed specifications, not independent measurements. Dimensions for the SRPK11K1 and SRPK13K1 are not stated in the cited overview, so the SRPK09 figures should not be assumed to apply to the other models.
What movement and functions does the SRPK09K1 have?
Seiko lists its caliber as 4R36, an automatic movement with manual winding and a stated power reserve of 41 hours. The listed functions include a day/date display and stop-seconds hand. Seiko Boutique also specifies a see-through case back marked “SPECIAL EDITION.”
The independent July 12, 2025 overview attributes the 4R36 to all three Retro Colour models and gives a frequency of 3 Hz and 25 jewels. The 25-jewel and 3 Hz figures come from that overview; they are not listed in the Seiko Boutique product information cited here.

Is the SRPK09 a Rally Diver?
“New Rally Diver” is the model name used for the SRPK09K1, and Seiko identifies the 5126-8130 Rally Diver as its design inspiration. That name and styling reference do not establish that it is a professional dive watch. Seiko lists 10 bar water resistance and a unidirectional rotating bezel; those published specifications are the appropriate basis for judging its intended use. They do not, by themselves, establish suitability for a particular diving activity.
For the SRPK09K1, Seiko also lists a curved Hardlex crystal, stainless steel case and bracelet, LumiBrite on the hands, indexes and bezel, and a 22 mm lug width. A strap’s width alone does not confirm model-specific fit or end-link compatibility.
Which Retro Colour model should you choose?
- Choose the SRPK09K1 if you prefer a silver dial and checkerboard-style bezel, or if the listed case dimensions and specifications are central to your decision.
- Choose the SRPK11K1 if you want the trio’s orange-dial design with a black bezel.
- Choose the SRPK13K1 if you prefer a black dial, red-and-silver bezel markings and blue-green flange.
- Compare the separate SRPK17K1 on its own terms if you are looking for the 55th Anniversary limited edition rather than one of the three non-limited Retro Colour designs.
