What is the Seiko 5 Sports SSK027K1?
SSK027K1, sometimes shortened to SSK027 in launch coverage, is a Seiko 5 Sports GMT collaboration with Japanese skateboarder Yuto Horigome. Seiko’s current U.S. page titled for a Horigome collaboration displays the different SRPL35, so its specifications should not be used to describe this watch. The SSK027K1 is the black-coated GMT reference discussed here.

Movement and GMT setting
The SSK027K1 uses Seiko’s 4R34 automatic GMT movement. Its independently adjustable 24-hour hand tracks a second time zone, while the local 12-hour hand is not the independently adjusted hand. Fratello therefore characterizes it as a caller, or office, GMT: useful for reading another time zone, but distinct from a traveller GMT that lets the wearer adjust local time by moving the 12-hour hand.

Design and collaboration details
The watch pairs a black-coated steel case and bracelet with a blue-violet 24-hour bezel and a red GMT hand. The contrast makes the second-time-zone hand easy to distinguish from the main time display. The exhibition case back is signed and bears limited-edition marking and an individual serial number, according to launch coverage.
These details belong to the SSK027K1. The Seiko USA page for a Horigome-named limited edition currently shows the SRPL35, whose 4R36 movement, calfskin strap and 39.4 mm case are not specifications for this GMT reference. Its displayed first-person quotation about a family crest and vintage styling likewise should not be attributed to the SSK027K1.

Monochrome Watches and Fratello reported a limited run of 2,700 pieces and a €570 European launch price in November 2023. Seiko Thailand’s official channel described the SSK027K as priced at 22,000 baht and available in Thailand in its 21 December 2023 publication. These are historical launch-era figures for different markets, not current asking prices or proof that stock remains.
The cited sources do not establish present stock, current retail or resale value, warranty status, or the condition of any particular listing. Availability can vary by region and seller. If considering a listing, confirm that it is specifically reference SSK027K1, and check the seller, condition, serial and edition markings, included bracelet or accessories, and any warranty or service documentation.
