Those allocation figures and the price come from the Japanese store, so they describe the Japan market, not a confirmed global price or stock position for other countries.
Reservations at the Seiko online store, Seiko Dream Square and Seiko Boutiques were scheduled to open on October 7, 2026. Seiko’s listing describes the watch as a Seiko Boutique exclusive, so buyers outside Seiko’s own channels should not expect it to appear at general retailers without confirmation from Seiko.
Does the dial really turn into a vinyl record?
This is the claim that needs the most care. The HHK002P product text we can verify does not describe the dial surface, so nothing in it confirms a record-style finish. Seiko’s U.S. news index includes an entry dated October 6, 2026, describing a Power Design Project collection that takes a literal approach to a panda chronograph dial. That entry does not name the HHK002P and does not mention vinyl, so it cannot be used to tie the vinyl description to this model.

Treat the record-grooved dial as the headline’s description rather than a verified feature. Official product photography or Seiko’s full announcement is the place to confirm it. If the photographs show a panda-style layout instead, the design is still a notable chronograph dial, but it would not match the headline’s wording.

The 43.0 mm width is the most useful figure for judging wrist fit, but the listing does not give lug width. That omission matters if you plan to change the leather strap, so confirm the lug measurement before buying a replacement.

What “affordable” means here
The headline calls the watch affordable, and that is the publication’s framing rather than an official Seiko claim. The only price on record is the Japanese figure of ¥83,600 including tax.
