Seiko has announced a 1,020-square-foot standalone watch salon in Kolkata, describing the opening as another step in strengthening its retail presence across East India. The launch featured actress Raima Sen as guest of honour, according to a Franchise Insights report published October 5, 2026.
What Seiko announced in Kolkata
The new salon brings together five Seiko collections: King Seiko, Prospex, Presage, Astron and Seiko 5 Sports. The report describes the 1,020-square-foot location as a standalone salon, but does not publish sales, footfall or other figures showing its commercial impact.
Niladri Mazumder, President and COO of Seiko India, said: “Kolkata has a distinctive appreciation for craftsmanship, design and heritage, making it an important market for SEIKO. The opening of our new watch salon marks another significant step in strengthening our retail presence across East India.” Seiko says the salon is intended to bring global collections and recent creations closer to Kolkata customers and give enthusiasts a place to experience its range of watchmaking; that is the company’s stated aim, not a measured customer outcome.

The announcement does not confirm that every named watch is in stock at the salon. Seiko’s official store information cautions that products and inventory can vary or change, so contact the location to check current availability.
What is the Seiko Prospex India Limited Edition?
Seiko describes this India-focused Prospex edition as inspired by the colour and texture of the Indian tiger. The official Seiko India Tiger Edition product page identifies it as model HBB005K1 and lists an MRP of ₹1,07,000. Seiko says the watch is limited to 1,000 pieces and was available from September 9, 2026, at Seiko Watch Boutiques and Salons. The MRP is the listed price on that official page, accessed October 7, 2026; check with Seiko for current price and availability.

Where is Seiko’s new watch salon in Kolkata?
The October 5 announcement does not provide the salon’s street address. Seiko’s official directory lists a Seiko Watch Salon at 4/1 Kankaria Estates, Camac Street, Kolkata, West Bengal 700016, but the available information does not conclusively establish that this directory entry is the newly announced salon. Confirm the address and current hours with Seiko before visiting; its store pages note that location details and hours may change.
