The Seiko Prospex King Turtle Black Series SRPK43 pairs a dark, night-vision-inspired design with a 4R36 automatic movement and a 200 m diver’s rating. Its 45 mm case and 47.7 mm lug-to-lug measurement make fit an important consideration; listed prices also vary by market. Seiko USA uses the reference SRPK43, while regional listings may add J1 or K1 suffixes.
What makes the SRPK43 a Black Series King Turtle?
Seiko places the SRPK43 in the Prospex Sea collection and its Black Series. The brand describes the all-black design as expressing “the view seen through a night vision scope” and promotes its Green LumiBrite Pro with the line “The brightest light for the darkest night.” These are Seiko’s descriptions of the design and lume, not independent comparative test results. The reference naming varies across official listings: Seiko USA calls it SRPK43, while regional pages use SRPK43J1 or SRPK43K1. The available listings do not establish that those suffixes indicate different specifications, so check the full reference on a listing rather than assuming a specification change.
Movement and everyday functions
The watch uses Seiko’s 4R36 automatic movement, which can also be wound manually. Seiko specifies an approximately 41-hour power reserve, 24 jewels, stop-seconds, and day/date display; Seiko USA lists a rate of 21,600 vibrations per hour. The power-reserve figure is approximate, not a guarantee of identical running time in every use.

Case size, weight and strap fit
Seiko lists a 45.0 mm case diameter, 47.7 mm lug-to-lug length, 13.2 mm thickness and 198.0 g weight. The lug-to-lug figure helps compare how much wrist length the case spans, while thickness and weight matter if you prefer a lower-profile or lighter watch. Measurements alone cannot predict how it will sit on an individual wrist; trying it on is the surest way to judge comfort.
The distance between the lugs is 22 mm, a useful measurement when looking for an optional strap. It does not guarantee that every generic strap will match the bracelet end links or fit the watch as intended.

Diving features and materials
Seiko specifies 200 m / 660 ft diver’s water resistance, a screw-down crown, screw case back and unidirectional rotating bezel. The bezel is black ceramic on the US product page, and the case is hard-coated stainless steel. The crystal is sapphire with a magnifier and an anti-reflective coating on its inner surface. The bracelet is black-coated stainless steel.
The clasp is a three-fold design with a secure lock, push-button release and extender. Seiko USA says the watch follows ISO standards for scuba diving, but the cited product information does not name a specific ISO standard number. A water-resistance rating is not a substitute for checking the watch’s condition and following appropriate dive procedures.

What to compare before buying
For a useful comparison with another dive watch, put the case diameter and lug-to-lug length beside thickness and weight, then compare movement and stated reserve, crystal and bezel materials, water-resistance rating and any named diving standard. Also check bracelet or strap width, lume description and the price in your market. The specifications here describe the SRPK43; they do not establish how it compares with a particular competing model.
Search by the exact reference, confirm the seller and full model designation, and verify current price and stock before ordering. Seiko’s official listings are a useful reference point when checking a retailer’s description.
