The Seiko Prospex PADI King Samurai SRPG21K1 pairs a 200 m water-resistance rating with a sapphire crystal, ceramic bezel display and automatic 4R35 movement. Its 43.8 mm case sounds large, though Monochrome reviewer Derek Haager reported that it wore smaller than expected. His hands-on account also flags the main caveat: the bezel on his sample was difficult to operate and imprecise between clicks.
What the SRPG21K1 is
Seiko lists the SRPG21K1 in its Prospex Sea range as a special edition. It is a PADI-branded version of the King Samurai diver, with a black dial and blue accents described by reviewer Derek Haager. Seiko’s product page confirms the reference and specifications, but not every visual detail described in the review. Seiko’s SRPG21K1 product page

How it wears and reads
Size and wrist presence
The official dimensions—43.8 mm across and 48.7 mm lug-to-lug—make this a substantial watch on paper, while the 12.8 mm thickness is relatively restrained for a diver-style case. Haager found that it wore smaller than the diameter suggested, citing its thickness and lug-to-lug measurement. That is one reviewer’s wrist impression, not a guarantee of fit: wrist shape and personal preference matter, so trying it on is the best way to judge.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.

- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Dial, lume and strap
Haager describes an embossed globe pattern on the black dial, light-blue details, a sword-like minute hand, large lume-filled applied markers and a magnifier over the date. He found the time easy to read at a glance underwater and described the watch as feeling sturdy on his dive trip to Blue Grotto, Florida. These are his observations from one sample, rather than independent performance testing.
Seiko lists a silicone band. Haager found it functional for diving and long enough to fit over a wetsuit, but not especially comfortable. The lug width is 22 mm; confirm fit and compatibility before buying any replacement band.

The bezel is the key caveat
Seiko specifies a unidirectional rotating bezel with a ceramic display. In his 2022 review, Haager found the action difficult and vague between clicks, and said it took him several attempts to align it. His exact assessment was: “The bezel on this watch was quite difficult to turn and not in a good way.” Derek Haager’s Monochrome review
This is a report about one review sample, not evidence of a known defect rate or a problem affecting every SRPG21K1. Still, because a rotating bezel is central to timing underwater, check its action on the individual watch before purchase if possible.

Price and availability depend on market
Prices reported for the watch reflect different dates and markets, not a single current global price. Monochrome’s 2022 review listed USD 595 or EUR 640; Seiko’s Middle East page displays USD 610, accessed October 3, 2026. The latter is a regional reference, not a guaranteed local selling price. Stock and transaction prices are not established here, and an out-of-stock retailer listing does not show that the model has been discontinued globally.
- Monochrome launch coverage described the SRPG21K1 as a special, non-limited edition and listed EUR 640.
- A Singapore retailer listing was marked out of stock when surfaced; that status applies to that listing only.
When checking a listing, verify that it is the SRPG21K1, then confirm the seller, region, condition, stock status and price directly.

Is it suitable for diving or swimming?
Seiko lists 200 m / 660 ft diver’s water resistance, a screw-down crown and a unidirectional bezel. The cited specification does not establish any additional certification, and the hands-on review is one reviewer’s account rather than a certification or safety test. For swimming or diving, follow Seiko’s instructions for the specific watch and ensure the crown is fully secured; do not treat a water-resistance rating as a substitute for checking the watch’s condition.
If you are choosing between this and another diver, compare case dimensions against your wrist, movement and stated reserve, crystal and bezel materials, water-resistance wording, band or bracelet configuration, and local price. The available coverage identifies the related PADI King Turtle SRPG19K1 but does not provide a complete head-to-head evaluation, so it does not support naming one as the better buy.
