Its glacier-inspired silver-white dial, 41 mm steel case and automatic 6R35 movement define the model; Seiko announced a limited run of 5,000 pieces and planned availability from January 2023.
What is the Seiko SPB333J1?
Seiko introduced the SPB333 as part of its Seiko Watchmaking 110th Anniversary collection and Prospex Save the Ocean line. In its 15 December 2022 announcement, Seiko described the dial as inspired by polar glaciers and said the case design draws on its 1968 6105-8000 diver. The design reference is historical; it does not mean the SPB333J1 is a reissue of that watch.
Seiko characterized the dial’s “silvery-white color combined with its delicate striated texture” as creating depth. That is the manufacturer’s description of the design, rather than an independent assessment. The textured surface gives the pale dial its defining visual feature.

How big is the SPB333J1, and what does that mean for fit?
The case measures 41.0 mm across and 12.3 mm thick, with a 46.9 mm lug-to-lug length. The 20 mm lug distance determines the nominal strap width. Diameter alone does not establish how a watch will fit: lug-to-lug length and case shape also affect how it sits on a wrist. These figures are useful for comparison, but they cannot substitute for trying the watch on.
What movement does it use?
The SPB333J1 uses Seiko’s 6R35 automatic movement, which can also be wound manually. Seiko gives an approximate 70-hour power reserve and lists 24 jewels. The Philippine product page specifies accuracy of +25 to −15 seconds per day; that is the manufacturer’s stated range, not a guarantee that every watch will run at a particular rate.

What strap comes with the SPB333J1?
Seiko supplies the watch with a five-row stainless-steel bracelet and an additional polyester strap. Seiko says the extra strap is made entirely from recycled plastic bottles. Its 20 mm lug distance is the nominal width to check when considering another strap, but width alone does not establish compatibility: attachment geometry, thickness and clasp details may matter.
Water resistance and diving claims
Seiko specifies 200 m / 660 ft diver’s water resistance for the SPB333J1. The available product information supports that rating; it does not establish a named ISO certification. A stated water-resistance rating should not be treated as a report of independent underwater testing or a substitute for checking the watch’s condition and care requirements.

Is the SPB333J1 a limited edition?
Yes. Seiko announced an edition of 5,000 pieces and said worldwide boutique and selected-retailer availability was planned from January 2023. That announcement establishes the edition quantity and original launch plan, not present-day stock in any particular country.
