The Seiko Prospex SSC673 is a solar-powered chronograph with a 200 m diver’s water-resistance rating and a silicone band. Seiko specifies a V175 movement, six months of operation on a full charge and timing up to 60 minutes. The available official pages establish those specifications, but do not establish hands-on testing, so this is a specification-based review rather than a wear or performance test.
What watch is the SSC673?
Seiko identifies the model as the Prospex SSC673 on its regional product page. Seiko’s official Philippines store lists it as the Prospex SSC673P1. Those names refer to the same model family in the cited official listings; check the full suffix and market version when shopping.
Movement, charging and timekeeping
Seiko specifies its V175 solar movement, with stated accuracy of ±15 seconds per month and approximately six months of operation when fully charged. These are manufacturer specifications, not results measured in a test of this particular watch. The page also lists overcharge prevention. Seiko does not state how quickly this model charges under particular lighting conditions, so the six-month figure should not be read as a guarantee of performance in every wearer’s routine.
Chronograph and other functions
The chronograph measures up to 60 minutes in 1/5-second increments. Seiko also lists a 24-hour hand and date display. This describes the published functions; the available sources do not document a hands-on assessment of the controls or dial legibility.

Case, crystal, band and water resistance
Seiko’s regional product page lists a stainless-steel case with hard coating, Hardlex crystal, silicone band, LumiBrite on the hands and indexes, and 13.8 mm thickness. It gives the lug distance as 20 mm. Its listed water resistance is 200 m / 660 ft diver’s water resistance. The rating is Seiko’s specification; it is not an independent water-resistance test.
The official regional pages differ slightly on diameter: Seiko’s regional product page says 43.5 mm, while the Philippines store lists 43 mm. Both give 13.8 mm thickness and the same 200 m / 660 ft water-resistance rating. Confirm the measurement for the market version you intend to buy rather than assuming the difference is a rounding error.

Will a 20 mm strap fit?
Seiko lists 20 mm between the lugs, which gives a useful starting point when looking for a replacement strap. That measurement does not confirm that every 20 mm strap will attach correctly: check the strap’s end shape and attachment compatibility with the SSC673 before ordering.
Is the Seiko SSC673 worth buying?
The published specification suits a buyer seeking a solar chronograph with a substantial water-resistance rating, a silicone band and a defined 60-minute timing function. Whether it is comfortable, easy to read on the wrist, accurate in daily use or good value against alternatives cannot be established from the official specification pages alone. There is no substantiated comparison here with another watch, so base a purchase decision on the exact regional listing, fit, price and warranty you can confirm.
