The yellow-dial Seiko Prospex Speedtimer most likely meant by “Pogue” is reference SSC947 (listed in the UK as SSC947P1). Seiko’s UK retailer calls it the “Prospex Solar Chronograph 1969 Re-interpretation,” not a Pogue model. It borrows visual cues associated with Seiko’s 1969 chronograph, but its movement is modern and solar-powered.
Which Seiko watch is the Pogue tribute?
The model is the Prospex Speedtimer Solar Chronograph SSC947/SSC947P1. Its yellow dial, red chronograph hands and blue-and-red tachymeter bezel are the details that connect its appearance to the 6139-era design. The official UK product listing describes the watch as a “1969 Re-interpretation”; “Pogue” is a tribute label, not the model name used on that listing.
That distinction matters because the nickname can refer to the historic watch rather than this modern reference. If shopping, check the reference number and the yellow-dial, blue-and-red-bezel configuration rather than relying on “Pogue” alone. Seiko UK’s SSC947P1 listing provides the retailer’s formal name and specifications.
How it relates to Seiko’s 1969 chronograph
Seiko dates the introduction of the Prospex Speedtimer to 1969 and identifies the original automatic chronograph with Caliber 6139. In a 28 September 2021 announcement, Seiko presented a Speedtimer collection that included four solar chronographs powered by Caliber V192. The SSC947 continues the visual reinterpretation approach, but it is not mechanically the same as the original: it uses a solar V192 rather than the automatic Caliber 6139. Design, dimensions and functions
The SSC947 combines a yellow dial and red chronograph hands with a blue-and-red aluminum tachymeter bezel. It has a curved sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating on the inner surface, Lumibrite on the hands and indexes, and a stainless-steel case and bracelet. Seiko UK lists the following specifications:

These are manufacturer/retailer specifications, not independent measurements. The 41.4 mm diameter and 45.9 mm case length are useful fit checks, but wrist comfort cannot be inferred from dimensions alone. The listed 21.0 mm lug width is a measurement, not confirmation that every 21 mm strap will fit the watch correctly.

What the V192 solar movement offers
According to Seiko UK, Caliber V192 charges in natural and artificial light, has stated accuracy of ±15 seconds per month, and provides approximately six months of operation when fully charged. Those figures are manufacturer/retailer specifications rather than independent accuracy or reserve tests. The listing also names a power-reserve indicator and overcharge prevention.
In practical terms, the SSC947 is a solar chronograph rather than a mechanical re-creation of the 6139. Its charging depends on exposure to light, and its timing display records elapsed time to the stated 60-minute limit in 1/5-second increments.

UK price and availability
Seiko’s UK online retailer displayed the SSC947P1 at £660 when its page was accessed in 2026. That is a UK-specific listed price and may change; it should not be treated as a global price or as evidence of stock at other sellers. The available listing does not establish Amazon availability.
For comparison, Seiko’s September 2021 announcement gave a US launch retail price of $725 for four other V192 solar chronographs—SSC813, SSC815, SSC817 and SSC819—with expected availability from November 2021. That historical launch price and timing apply to those references, not to the SSC947.
