Sanrio has announced a SEIKO collaboration watch featuring its character Hangyodon, with Hangyodon and Sayuri both shown in the design. The announcement, dated 8 October 2026, lists the watch at ¥49,280 including tax through the PREMICO online shop. The official listing does not describe it as a limited edition, so this article uses “collaboration watch” rather than “limited-edition watch” unless a future source confirms a quantity.
What Sanrio announced
Sanrio Co., Ltd. published its announcement on 2026-10-08 under the Japanese headline “SEIKOからハンギョドンとのコラボレーションウオッチが登場！” It confirms that the watch is a SEIKO product made in collaboration with Sanrio and that it features Hangyodon. The official product description also places Sayuri in the artwork, shown looking on alongside him.
Design details Sanrio highlights
Sanrio’s description calls out three visual cues. Each is a design detail stated by the publisher, not a technical specification.
- Emerald-green dial, which Sanrio describes as inspired by a beautiful, mysterious sea.
- Gold-colored shell motif, which sits on the watch as a decorative element.
- Hangyodon and Sayuri, both shown looking on, making the two characters the main character artwork of the piece.
The description is promotional copy. It is not a quote from a named SEIKO or Sanrio designer, so it should be read as the publisher’s own account of the look.

Price and where to buy
Sanrio lists the watch as on sale through the PREMICO online shop at ¥49,280 including tax. PREMICO is the retailer Sanrio names, and the page includes a customer-service contact for Imperial Enterprise, which operates PREMICO. Price and availability can change after the announcement date, so confirm both on the PREMICO listing before ordering.
The announcement does not confirm current stock, whether the watch ships outside Japan, or whether other retailers will carry it.

Sanrio’s page leaves out most of the specifications buyers usually compare. The table below separates what is confirmed from what is not.

Avoid confusing it with the 40th Anniversary wristwatch
Sanrio’s website also lists a separate item called the “Hangyodon Wristwatch (40th Anniversary Series).” The announcement does not connect that product to the SEIKO collaboration, so the two should not be treated as the same watch. When comparing listings, check the brand name, model number and retailer. A watch is the SEIKO collaboration only if its listing names SEIKO and Sanrio together and matches the emerald-green and gold-shell design described above.
Checklist before buying
- Confirm the listing names SEIKO and Sanrio and shows Hangyodon and Sayuri, not only Hangyodon.
- Check that the dial is emerald green with a gold-colored shell motif.
- Verify the price at PREMICO, since Sanrio’s ¥49,280 figure is tax-inclusive and dated 2026-10-08.
- Look for movement, water resistance and dimensions on the retailer page before purchase, because Sanrio’s announcement does not give them.
- Confirm shipping destination on the PREMICO checkout page if you live outside Japan.
