Sequent’s reserve estimates vary from up to 18 months in standby to 30 days with activity tracking and five minutes of heart-rate use when no energy is generated. Its appeal is the combination of traditional hands and motion harvesting; its trade-offs are a restrained interface, app dependence, and unverified 2.1-specific water resistance.
What the SuperCharger 2.1 is—and what “powered by you” means
The SuperCharger 2.1 is a hybrid smartwatch with three analog hands, a push-button crown, and wireless phone connectivity. It is not a touchscreen watch: Sequent’s SuperCharger 2 manual describes button-led setup, syncing, and manually started sport modes. The manufacturer’s technology page says, “It converts your motion into electricity through gravity.” In practical terms, an oscillating weight responds to body movement and generates electricity that replenishes the watch’s reserve.
That makes “self-charging” conditional. The watch needs movement to harvest energy, and the reserve is also affected by which functions you use. Sequent describes the autonomy as “virtually infinite” with regular wear and active movement, but the available evidence does not establish an independently tested, perpetual run time. The manual also includes an initial charging procedure, so the claim should not be read as “never needs a charger.”
Sequent’s undated technology page also claims ±0.3 seconds per day precision for its movement and refers to eight mechanical parts. Those are manufacturer claims; the evidence available here does not establish independent validation or confirm that the precision figure applies specifically to every SuperCharger 2.1 variant. The support FAQ discusses timekeeping in broader terms, but does not reconcile its conditions with the technology-page figure.

- 【How to start the device】1. Press and hold the switch for 3-4 seconds to turn on the power. When using it for the first time, it must be set to fast mode (with both green LED lights on simultaneously). 2. In fast mode, release the pendulum from the 90 degree position and the device will automatically sway.
- 【Adjustable speed】This device has 3 speed modes. Low -speed mode, medium speed mode, fast mode.【Timer】It can set a timer to shut down, allowing 1-12 hours.
- 【 Supports single watch 】 The device supports single watche. The noise generated by the device during operation is very weak and almost inaudible.
- 【Extensive Compatibility】This device is suitable for 95%of watches on the market. It is particularly suitable for Seiko watches.
- 【More Durable】This device works great and is easy to install. It is more durable than the box style. The box-style watch winder is driven by a motor, and the carbon brushes in the motor are easy to wear out. Once the carbon brushes are worn out, the box-style watch winder will not work. This is why a lot of box watch winders work for less than a year.
How long does the Sequent SuperCharger battery last?
Sequent’s support FAQ gives these no-energy-generated reserve estimates. They are company estimates, not independent test results, and describe different feature loads rather than a single typical battery life.
| Feature use | Sequent’s stated reserve with no energy generated |
|---|---|
| Standby | Up to 18 months |
| Activity tracking | Up to 12 months |
| Activity tracking plus two hours of heart-rate use | Up to six months |
| Activity tracking plus five minutes of heart-rate use | Up to 30 days |
The FAQ adds, “The more you move, the more you will extend these values.” That means actual reserve depends on movement as well as feature use; the estimates are not a promise of the same duration for every owner. The FAQ lists a 3.7 V, 45 mAh lithium-polymer battery.

Low-charge behavior
Sequent says the watch continues step tracking at 40% charge while Bluetooth is stopped. Below 20%, it switches to time-only mode. These thresholds explain why “the watch still has power” may not mean every connected feature remains available.
What features and health tracking do you get?
Expect a basic hybrid-watch feature set rather than a full smartwatch interface. Sequent’s materials describe activity tracking, heart-rate readings on HR models, Bluetooth syncing, and sport modes. The manual for SuperCharger 2 documents basic and detailed sport modes, with different hand countdowns and heart-rate sampling intervals for HR models. Since that is a generation-level manual, confirm the exact behavior for the specific 2.1 variant before relying on HR-mode details.

Step estimates use an accelerometer and the height and weight entered in the user profile, according to Sequent. The company cautions that wrist-based counting can be inaccurate when arm movement does not match walking—for example, moving the arm while seated or keeping the arm relatively still while walking. Accurate profile details and realistic expectations matter; the watch’s step count should be treated as an estimate.
Which app works with the SuperCharger 2.1?
For SuperCharger watches in the 2.0–2.3 generation, Sequent’s app guidance points owners to OxyGo. The SuperCharger Lite app is for SC1, not the 2.1. App availability and compatibility can change, so check the current listing for your phone before setting up the watch.

The Apple App Store listing for the Sequent SuperCharger app describes goal setting, progress graphs, energy generated, heart-rate readings, and HealthKit sharing for steps, distance, and heart rate. Those descriptions do not guarantee identical features across app versions or watch variants. The listing also contains historical individual reports of syncing problems and confusing features; such reviews are anecdotes, not a measured failure rate or evidence of current app performance.
Setup and syncing
The SuperCharger 2 manual gives this setup sequence. Because it is a SuperCharger 2 manual rather than a 2.1-specific guide, check your watch’s own instructions if its variant differs.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Can you swim with the Sequent SuperCharger 2.1?
A 2.1-specific water-resistance rating is not established in the available manufacturer materials. Sequent’s support guidance says to avoid high-pressure water and exposure to saunas or steam rooms. Without a verified rating for the exact 2.1 model, do not assume it is suitable for swimming, showering, or water sports; check the watch documentation or obtain confirmation from Sequent before exposing it to water.
Warranty, returns, and buying considerations
Sequent’s support page describes a five-year warranty for manufacturing defects, excluding SuperCharger 1, subject to exclusions. Bracelets, crystals, and batteries are excluded. The page also describes a 30-day return period from receipt, with conditions. Because warranty and return terms can vary by geography and change over time, confirm the current policy that applies to your purchase.
Current marketplace availability was not verified. If you find a listing, check that it is specifically the SuperCharger 2.1 and confirm its exact variant, included charger, phone-app compatibility, water-resistance documentation, and seller return terms. Do not assume a generic replacement charger is compatible; the available documentation describes an initial charger procedure but does not identify a verified replacement accessory.
Quick Recap
Who should consider the SuperCharger 2.1?
- A possible fit: someone who prefers an analog dial, wants basic connected tracking, and likes the idea of harvesting energy through regular movement.
- Less suitable: someone who expects a touchscreen, extensive automated health tools, a well-established app experience, or a verified swimming watch.
- Before buying: confirm the correct OxyGo app for the generation, the exact watch variant and HR features, current platform requirements, water guidance, and the seller’s applicable warranty and return terms.
