The Serica 5303-3 Crystal Blue pairs a compact reported 39 mm case and 300 m water resistance with an unusual dual-scale bezel and an integrated mesh bracelet. Its broad-arrow hand and mixed hour markers give it a vintage-inflected look that stands apart from conventional dive-watch designs. The main buying caveats are practical: bracelet fitting may take patience, and movement specifications differ between reported versions, so confirm the caliber and reserve for the individual watch.
What is the Serica 5303-3?
The 5303-3 Crystal Blue is Serica’s diving chronometer in the blue-dial variant. Serica’s official product page described it as a diving chronometer and displayed a price of €1,590 with the watch marked sold out when retrieved; price and availability can change. Check the official product page for current stock and terms.
Its appeal is the combination of restrained case proportions, substantial water-resistance claims and a design that does not look like a generic diver. It is best considered by someone who values an idiosyncratic dial and bezel as much as conventional dive-watch utility.
How does the Serica 5303-3 wear?
Independent reviews report a 39 mm case diameter, 12.2 mm thickness and 46.5 mm lug-to-lug; one review also lists a 20 mm lug width. These are review-reported dimensions, not a new measurement of every production generation. If a millimeter matters for your fit or strap plans, confirm the current specification with Serica.

#1 Best Overall
- Solar powered quartz movement helps reduce frequent battery replacement.
- 300M water resistant design supports swimming, snorkeling, diving, and water sports.
- Luminous hands and markers improve readability in dark or low-light conditions.
- Durable case and mineral glass are built for outdoor and everyday wear.
- WATCH SIZE & WRIST FIT: Features a 45.8 mm (1.80 in) case diameter and a 51.4 mm (2.02 in) lug-to-lug length. The adjustable 24 mm silicone strap accommodates wrists up to 230 mm (9.1 in). Measure your wrist and check the case dimensions before ordering, especially if you have a smaller wrist.
Worn & Wound’s owner-review author praised the compact proportions and characterful design, calling 39 mm “pretty much ideal” for a dive watch—an explicitly personal judgment. Fratello’s reviewer likewise liked the look and found the bracelet comfortable once it was on the wrist. These impressions suggest a compact-wearing alternative to larger divers, but wrist shape and bracelet adjustment will determine your experience.
The mesh bracelet: distinctive, but not effortless
The integrated mesh bracelet is central to the 5303’s appearance. Reviewers were divided on its practicality: one found it comfortable after sizing, while another found the pressure-clip fastening and adjustment awkward. Fratello’s Jorg Weppelink wrote, “The longer you spend with the watch, the easier it gets putting it on your wrist.” That is one reviewer’s experience, not a guarantee that the clasp will suit everyone.
Try the clasp and adjustment system before buying if possible, or ask the seller how sizing works and whether links or tools are needed. A bracelet that looks seamless in photographs can still be the part that decides whether the watch feels convenient day to day.
What stands out about the dial and bezel?
The Crystal Blue dial combines a broad-arrow hour hand, circular and rectangular markers, fine minute-track lines and understated branding. Worn & Wound and Fratello reviewers describe the design as distinctive; whether its vintage-inflected details feel appealing or unusual is a matter of taste.

The rotating bezel is more versatile than a standard single-scale elapsed-time bezel. Serica says its luminescent bezel supports timing up to 60 minutes and second-time-zone tracking at 12 o’clock. Fratello describes elapsed-minute/hour and countdown uses on the earlier version. The second-time-zone function is bezel-based tracking, not a dedicated GMT movement: it does not add a separate GMT hand or change the watch’s movement into a GMT caliber.
Is the Serica 5303-3 a good dive watch?
Serica claims 300 m water resistance and magnetic resistance above 50,000 A/m for the 5303 collection, and describes a three-part soft-iron cage. These are manufacturer-published specifications, not independent test results. The rating and construction make the watch a serious dive-watch proposition on paper; they do not replace checking the condition and maintenance history of a used example or following the owner’s manual for operation and care.
The bezel offers useful timing functions, while the mesh bracelet brings a distinctive look with a fit and clasp some buyers may find less intuitive. If you want a straightforward, familiar bracelet and conventional bezel, try this one in person before committing. If its proportions and design are the point, the 5303-3 makes a more individual choice than a typical diver.
What movement is in the Serica 5303-3?
There is no single movement-and-reserve figure that can safely be applied to every reported 5303-3. Earlier reviews identify the Soprod Newton, with reported power-reserve figures of 44 or 45 hours. A 2026 owner review identifies an M100 and a 42-hour reserve. These reports appear to concern different versions or specimens, so check the documentation for the exact watch or ask Serica to confirm its caliber and reserve.

Hodinkee reported that the original Top-Flight Newton was adjusted in five positions and tested within ±4 seconds per day. That statement applies to the reported original configuration; it is not an independently verified accuracy result for every 5303-3 or for a later M100-equipped example. Read Hodinkee’s review for its account of the Newton version.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is the Serica 5303-3 worth it?
Whether it is worth the asking price depends on how much you value its proportions, design and unusual bezel relative to the bracelet’s usability and the movement version offered. The official page showed €1,590 and sold-out status when retrieved, so that figure is a time-sensitive reference rather than a guaranteed current price. Confirm availability, the exact caliber, warranty terms and what is included with the specific watch before placing an order.
Serica states a two-year international warranty from receipt; check the current regional terms with the brand or seller. A new watch and a pre-owned example may have different coverage or condition, so do not assume the published warranty applies unchanged to every transaction.
