Their main CPU and GPU are broadly alike; the 4100+’s defining extra is a QCC1110 low-power co-processor for selected background and ambient-display tasks. Well-known 4100 watches include the Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 3 GPS and TicWatch E3; Qualcomm lists the Fossil Gen 6 Wellness Edition and Montblanc Summit 3 among 4100+ devices. In 2026, treat either platform as older hardware: the watch’s software, battery condition, features, and price matter more than the chipset badge.
Snapdragon Wear 4100 vs 4100+: What’s different?
These are wearable platforms, not just standalone processors. A platform encompasses the main application processor and graphics, plus components and capabilities for memory, connectivity, location, audio, sensors, and power management. The manufacturer chooses how to build a retail watch around those capabilities, so two watches on the same platform can differ substantially.
| Feature | Snapdragon Wear 4100 | Snapdragon Wear 4100+ |
|---|---|---|
| Process technology | 12nm | 12nm |
| Main CPU | Quad-core Arm Cortex-A53 | Quad-core Arm Cortex-A53 |
| GPU | Adreno 504 | Adreno 504 |
| Always-on co-processor | No QCC1110 co-processor as a defining platform feature | QCC1110, based on Cortex-M0 |
| Low-power tasks | More dependent on the main platform and the watch’s implementation | Can offload selected tasks to the co-processor |
| Connectivity | The platform family supports wearable connectivity options; retail features vary | The platform family supports wearable connectivity options; retail features vary |
| Typical buyer implication | Can be a lower-cost option if the specific watch meets your needs | Preferable when comparable watches are similarly priced and in similar condition |
The 4100+ is not simply a faster-clocked 4100. Its principal distinction is the co-processor architecture, not a different main CPU or GPU. Qualcomm’s launch presentation describes that distinction and the intended low-power uses.
Platform specifications
Qualcomm’s Wear 4100+ product brief gives the following platform-level specifications. They describe what the platform can support, not what every finished watch includes.

| Component or capability | Wear 4100+ platform specification |
|---|---|
| Main CPU | Quad-core Arm Cortex-A53, up to 2.0GHz |
| GPU | Adreno 504, up to 320MHz |
| Co-processor | Cortex-M0-based QCC1110 |

| Power management | PMIC functions include battery charging, fuel gauge, and haptics driver |
| Audio and voice | Qualcomm Voice Suite, noise suppression, echo cancellation, and voice activation support |
A manufacturer may omit LTE, choose different wireless components, use less memory, limit screen resolution, or add its own sensor and power-saving systems. Platform support for a feature is not proof that a particular retail model has it.
What the 4100+ co-processor does
The QCC1110 is a small, low-power co-processor—not a second full application CPU. Qualcomm describes it as handling selected event-driven work such as timekeeping, steps, continuous heart-rate monitoring, tilt detection, alarms, haptics, ambient-display functions, selected sensor processing, and some map-related functions. It can let a watch perform some of that work without waking the main Cortex-A53 processor.

That architecture can help with standby and low-power watch modes, including some dual-display designs. It does not make app launches faster by itself, nor does it guarantee long battery life in normal smartwatch use. Display type and brightness, battery size and age, LTE, GPS, sensor settings, and software all affect runtime.
How fast are these platforms?
In its comparison with Wear 3100, Qualcomm claimed more than 85% higher overall performance for the 4100+; its presentation also cites approximately 85% CPU improvement, memory performance about 2.5 times faster, and GPU performance about twice as fast. These are Qualcomm’s platform comparisons under its methodology, not independent results for every watch or app.

Qualcomm also projected more than 25% lower power and cited a reference comparison with 25% longer battery life versus Wear 3100. The presentation notes that actual device battery life varies with configuration and use. Neither figure should be read as a guaranteed improvement over an individual older watch or as a promise of a particular number of days.

Is a Wear 4100 or 4100+ watch worth buying in 2026?
Potentially, if the price is low enough, the individual watch is in good condition, and its software and features still meet your needs. These are 2020-era platforms, so a processor label alone is a poor measure of a used watch’s remaining value. Qualcomm’s device finder also lists newer W5+ Gen 1 watches, including the OnePlus Watch 2, Google Pixel Watch 2, Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 5, Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro, Oppo Watch 3 Pro, and Oppo Watch 4 Pro. Compare an older model against newer-platform alternatives available at the price and in the region where you are shopping.
Quick Recap
Best Value
- Easy-to-use running smartwatch with built-in GPS for pace/distance and wrist-based heart rate; brilliant AMOLED touchscreen display with traditional button controls; lightweight design in 43 mm size
- Up to 11 days of battery life in smartwatch mode and up to 19 hours in GPS mode
- Reach your goals with personalized daily suggested workouts that adapt based on performance and recovery; use Garmin Coach and race adaptive training plans to get workout suggestions for specific events
- 25+ built-in activity profiles include running, cycling, HIIT, strength and more
- As soon as you wake up, get your morning report with an overview of your sleep, recovery and training outlook alongside weather and HRV status (data presented is intended to be a close estimation of metrics tracked)
- Prefer 4100+ when price and condition are close: Its co-processor gives it the more capable low-power architecture, especially for ambient display and background work.
- Do not pay a large premium for the plus sign: It does not make the main CPU/GPU a newer generation or assure better support.
- Prioritize software longevity if you plan to keep the watch: The processor does not guarantee a particular Wear OS version or future updates.
- Buy for luxury design only if that is what you value: A premium-priced Summit 3 may appeal for its materials and brand, but the chipset is older silicon.
- Be cautious with a weak battery or uncertain support: Either can erase the appeal of a low purchase price.
What to check before buying
- Confirm the exact model and platform. Start with the manufacturer’s specification page and model number; use Qualcomm’s device finder as a cross-check. Do not rely on a marketplace title alone.
- Check the installed software and update status. Verify the version on the specific watch and whether its apps and phone pairing still meet your needs; the chipset does not determine upgrade eligibility.
- Assess battery condition and charging. For a used watch, ask about real-world runtime, inspect charging behavior, and confirm the charger is included or obtainable.
- Verify phone compatibility and cellular details. Check the exact watch and phone combination. For cellular models, confirm bands, eSIM provisioning, carrier certification, and availability in your country.
- Confirm the features you will use. Check the model’s own specifications for NFC and payment service availability, GPS, health sensors, and apps. NFC hardware alone does not guarantee payments with every bank or in every country.
- Inspect physical condition and return terms. Check the display, buttons, charging contacts, water-resistance condition, strap fit, and seller return policy; water resistance on an older watch should not be assumed from its original rating.
