Squale’s updated T-183 Forged Carbon adds forged carbon to both the bezel and dial, plus a SuperLuminova BGW9 layer in the bezel. Squale says the lighter top is intended to improve the watch’s weight balance and make the bezel easier to read; those are the manufacturer’s stated goals, not independent test findings.
What changed in the T-183 Forged Carbon?
Squale’s announcement describes three material changes: a forged-carbon bezel, a forged-carbon dial, and a bezel layer of SuperLuminova BGW9 carved from a solid block. Squale says the new construction is intended to lighten the top of the watch and improve bezel readability, including in very dark conditions. The announcement does not give a publication date for this edition.
The lume descriptions refer to different parts of the watch. The announcement names BGW9 for the added bezel layer; the official Yellow model page lists SuperLuminova C3 for its dial indexes. These specifications should not be treated as interchangeable.
Squale dates the original T-183 Forged Carbon introduction to 28 April 2022 in its press room. That date applies to the original collection, not necessarily to this update.

How is the forged-carbon case built?
Squale says each forged-carbon case component is machined from a block of the material, then fitted over an internal cylindrical case made of 316L steel. The brand describes that steel housing as containing the movement and supporting water resistance up to 60 ATM. This is Squale’s published collection specification, not independent test evidence or guidance that the watch is suitable for any particular dive.

The 20 mm lug width is useful when considering replacement straps, but it does not by itself confirm that a particular third-party strap will fit securely or suit the watch.
Which T-183 Forged Carbon variants are listed?
Squale lists Blue, Yellow, and Orange versions. The available official material does not establish meaningful performance differences among the colors, so compare the documented specifications alongside your color preference and verify the reference number for the variant you want.

The retrieved official Yellow product page displayed €2,010 including VAT and marked the model Sold Out in its market-specific view.
