It makes sense if you want Swatch styling and simple onboard functions; it does not if you need GPS, notifications, dependable activity tracking, or robust water resistance. Identify the reference before buying: the basic Touch is different from the Bluetooth-enabled Touch Zero activity watches.
Which Swatch Touch is this review about?
“Swatch Touch” covers more than one watch. The main subject here is the basic digital Touch, represented by the black ASURB100/SURB100 and the sportier SURN101D. Touch Zero One and Touch Zero Two are related but distinct activity-watch models, with extra tracking and connectivity features.
| Family or model | What is documented | How to think about it |
|---|---|---|
| Basic Swatch Touch, including ASURB100/SURB100 | Digital timekeeping; functions vary by reference. The SURB100 product page lists quartz movement and 3-bar water resistance. | A simple digital fashion watch, not a connected smartwatch. |
| Swatch Touch Dark Blue & Red, SURN101D | Digital movement, 39 mm tonneau diameter and 3-bar water resistance. | A colorway-specific basic Touch; do not assume every model has the same size or specification. |
| Touch Zero One | Sports/activity model associated with volleyball and activity tracking. | A different product generation; check its reference and documentation. |
| Touch Zero Two | Time, date, alarm, timer, chronograph, Swatch .beat, activity tracking, steps, goals, fan functions, Bluetooth, synchronization and backlight. | An activity watch with historical app features, not a current smartwatch equivalent. |
Official pages: ASURB100 in the U.S., SURB100 internationally and SURN101D. Check the caseback reference against the listing: sellers sometimes use “Touch” for a Touch Zero model.
What can the basic Touch do?
It is a digital watch with touch-operated controls. Depending on the exact reference, functions may include time, date, alarm, timer, chronograph or stopwatch, backlight, and Swatch .beat/Internet Time. These are not guaranteed across the entire family, so verify the model’s own feature list and test the functions on a used example.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The word “touch” describes how the watch is operated; it does not mean a capacitive smartphone-style screen. Nor does a digital display or touch interface make it a smartwatch. Basic Touch models do not provide the modern app ecosystem, GPS, cellular connectivity or notifications a smartwatch buyer may expect.
Design, display and wearing experience
The Touch’s appeal is its unusual, casual Swatch look: a digital display in a tonneau-shaped case, often paired with a colorful strap. The SURN101D is listed at 39 mm in diameter, but that dimension should not be applied to every Touch reference. The available specifications do not establish a family-wide weight, strap material, wrist-fit range or display brightness.
For a second-hand purchase, inspect the actual watch rather than relying on a generic review. Check the strap for brittleness, cracks, stretching and discoloration; look for case or crystal damage; and confirm the display is clear and stable. Touch controls can take getting used to and are less straightforward than physical buttons; a listing alone cannot establish how responsive a particular used unit is, especially with wet fingers or gloves.

Water resistance: 3 bar is not a swim rating
Swatch lists 3-bar water resistance for the SURB100 and SURN101D. Treat that as limited protection, not a diving rating. Do not assume a 3-bar Touch is suitable for swimming, snorkeling, showering or operating its touch controls underwater unless the documentation for that exact model explicitly permits it. If a used watch has been opened, its original water resistance may no longer be intact.
Touch Zero Two’s manual also specifies 3.0-bar water resistance. See the Touch Zero Two manual for that model’s instructions.
Timekeeping and battery
The SURB100 product page identifies its movement as quartz; the SURN101D page identifies a digital movement. Swatch describes quartz as a stable electronic time base, but no independent drift measurement is established here, so there is no model-specific seconds-per-month accuracy figure to rely on.

Swatch’s general technical guidance estimates roughly two to three years from a new battery, depending on model and functions; this is guidance, not a guaranteed runtime for each Touch. Swatch says a Touch’s end-of-life indication is blinking numbers. The Touch Zero Two is more specific: its manual names a CR2032 battery and directs owners to a Swatch retailer for replacement. It also warns that some activity and convenience features may be limited as the battery runs down.
When buying used, ask when the battery was replaced and whether the watch was opened. A fresh battery does not prove the display, touch controls or contacts are healthy, and opening the case may compromise water resistance. For a discontinued model, local service availability and parts should be confirmed rather than assumed.

Touch Zero app and Bluetooth in 2026
The Touch Zero Two manual documents Bluetooth synchronization with the Swatch Touch Zero app and says software updates could be transferred over Bluetooth. That historical documentation does not establish that the app is currently available, compatible with a particular phone operating system, or supported by Swatch in 2026. Treat those functions as unverified until you confirm the app and pairing work with your own phone and the exact watch.

If the app cannot be confirmed, value a Touch Zero as a standalone digital watch, not as a dependable fitness tracker. Do not pay extra solely for advertised synchronization or activity features.

Availability observed on August 18, 2026, differs between official Swatch pages. The U.S. page lists the black ASURB100 at $25, while the international SURB100 page says “permanently sold out everywhere.” That is a regional or catalog-status discrepancy, not evidence that every reference is available—or unavailable—worldwide. The SURN101D page shows notification rather than ordinary purchase availability.
Check the U.S. ASURB100 page for its current regional listing and the international SURB100 page for its status. Secondary-market prices depend on reference, condition, packaging, functionality, location and demand. Discontinued does not automatically mean collectible or valuable.

What to check before buying a used Swatch Touch
- Get the exact reference number and a clear caseback photo; establish whether it is basic Touch, Touch Zero One or Touch Zero Two.
- Ask for a powered-on photo or video. Test the display and every touch area, then check the date, alarm, timer, chronograph and backlight where fitted.
- Ask when and where the battery was replaced. Inspect for poor contacts, corrosion or moisture damage if possible; avoid repeated DIY opening if water resistance matters.
- Examine the strap, case and crystal for aging or damage. Confirm the watch holds its settings and responds consistently rather than merely lighting up once.
- For a Touch Zero, verify app availability and Bluetooth pairing with your own phone before paying for connected features.
- Compare the asking price with the official regional listing and the condition of the exact reference. Prefer a seller who accepts returns on untested or old stock.
Touch Zero Two troubleshooting: reset instructions
The following reset applies to the Touch Zero Two manual only; it is not a universal procedure for all Swatch Touch watches. The manual describes it for a display showing bars instead of figures.
- Remove the battery and wait two minutes.
- Reinsert it, wait another second, then touch all three touchscreen sections simultaneously until
tEStappears. - Quick-tap
tESt, swipe toInIt 06, and quick-tap to enter. - Long-press
YESto confirm restoration. - Swipe to
Endand quick-tap to confirm and restart. The manual says the watch beeps for about two seconds while restarting.
If a battery replacement does not restore normal operation, check polarity and the specified battery type, then consider faulty contacts, corrosion, moisture damage, a failed LCD or touch/control electronics. The Touch Zero Two manual warns that using an incorrect battery can cause overheating or injury; use a Swatch retailer or qualified watch technician rather than repeatedly opening the case.
Who should buy one—and what to choose instead
- Buy a basic Touch if you want a distinctive, lightweight-feeling Swatch-style digital watch, enjoy an unusual interface, and find a working example at a sensible price.
- Skip it if you need swimming suitability, rugged outdoor use, easy long-term servicing, or smartwatch features.
- Choose a current fitness tracker if activity metrics and phone synchronization are the point; the Touch Zero’s current app support is not established.
- Choose a conventional digital watch if simple timekeeping and physical buttons matter more than the Swatch touch interface. Casio or Timex are practical categories to compare; Timex’s official site is Timex.
- Consider a Tissot T-Touch only if you want a more premium touch-operated watch category and accept that it is not a direct budget substitute. A review of the T-Touch Connect Solar is available at Wareable.
Final verdict
The basic Swatch Touch is best understood as a distinctive digital fashion watch: worth considering when inexpensive, verified working and bought for what it is. The Touch Zero Two is a more feature-rich historical activity watch, but its app-dependent value is uncertain without a successful current compatibility check. A high-priced used example is poor value unless its exact reference and condition justify the premium to you.
