The Ocean of Storms is the sixth model in Swatch’s Bioceramic Scuba Fifty Fathoms collection, a collaboration celebrating Blancpain’s Fifty Fathoms. Introduced in January 2024, it stands out with a black sunray-finish dial and a lunar-inspired name. Swatch said it shares the dimensions and features of the five earlier models; that launch information does not establish current price or availability.
What is the Ocean of Storms watch?
It is a Swatch model in the Bioceramic Scuba Fifty Fathoms collection, created in collaboration with Blancpain to celebrate the Fifty Fathoms. It is not an original Blancpain Fifty Fathoms watch. Swatch announced Ocean of Storms as the sixth named-ocean model in the collection.
The name refers to Oceanus Procellarum, or Ocean of Storms, a lunar mare on the western edge of the Moon’s near side. Swatch describes it as the Moon’s largest mare: about 2 million square kilometers and more than 2,500 km from north to south. Swatch’s 2024 announcement gives those figures.
What is different about this model?
The distinguishing design cue identified in Swatch’s announcement is its black sunray-finish dial, paired with imagery and inscriptions tied to the Ocean of Storms theme. The earlier collection models are named Arctic Ocean, Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, Indian Ocean and Antarctic Ocean. Swatch said Ocean of Storms has “exactly the same dimensions and features” as those five models, so the dial treatment and lunar identity—not a documented change in the underlying feature set—are the main distinctions established by the announcement. The Swatch Group release describes the model as the collection’s sixth.

Materials and collection features
Swatch describes Bioceramic as two-thirds ceramic and one-third biosourced material derived from castor oil. The collection’s NATO straps are made from recycled fishing nets. These are the brand’s material descriptions, not independent assessments of environmental impact.
In its 2023 collection announcement, Swatch described the Scuba Fifty Fathoms range as having a mechanical movement, a secured rotating bezel, legibility features, water resistance and anti-magnetic protection. The 2024 Ocean of Storms announcement says its dimensions and features match the earlier models, but the official pages cited here do not provide a model-specific caliber or a complete technical specification table. Consult Swatch’s current product listing for the exact specification before relying on a particular technical figure. Swatch Group’s collection announcement supplies the collection-level feature description.

When did it come out?
The Swatch Group announced that Ocean of Storms would be available from selected Swatch stores worldwide starting 11 January 2024. That is the original launch date and channel, not confirmation of current stock. The announcement does not establish present-day availability or pricing.
