The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronosprint x Porsche Rallye is a limited-edition chronograph inspired by the Porsche 911 entered in the 1965 Monte Carlo Rally. Its defining feature is the Chronosprint movement: the central chronograph-seconds hand moves quickly through the first 15 seconds of a stopped minute, then slows for the rest of the cycle. It is a 42 mm Carrera chronograph created by TAG Heuer with Porsche. The Rallye edition combines the brand’s Chronosprint hand behavior with design cues from a Heuer dashboard timer and the Porsche 911 “147,” which competed in the 1965 Monte Carlo Rally. TAG Heuer’s official magazine describes the Rallye collection as 922 watches worldwide: 911 in steel and 11 in solid yellow gold. The brand’s product page also identifies the steel model as a 911-piece edition. How does the Chronosprint function work?
Chronosprint changes the speed profile of the central chronograph-seconds hand; it does not make the watch a more accurate timer. TAG Heuer says two snail-shaped wheels in the TH20-08 chronograph module make the hand travel faster through the first 15 seconds of a stopped minute and slow down over the remaining portion of its revolution. The effect is a mechanical visual reference to acceleration.

The chronograph remains specified as a 1/4-second function, with a 30-minute counter and a 12-hour counter. The 15-second accelerated segment is the hand’s motion pattern, not a claim that elapsed time is measured more precisely or that the watch measures a car’s acceleration.
What is the steel CBS2015.EB0381 like?
The steel watch pairs a black shimmering dial with applied indices and red and beige Rallye-inspired details. Its case is fine-brushed and polished steel, measuring 42 mm across, 14.9 mm thick, and 22.1 mm between the lugs. It is rated to 100 m water resistance.

What is the Porsche Rallye design story?
TAG Heuer says the watch recalls the Heuer dashboard timer fitted in Porsche 911 “147” and details from early Porsche dashboards. In its 2025 brochure, the brand connects the dial markings to an 8.4-second 0–100 km/h acceleration figure associated with that car. This is TAG Heuer’s commemorative account of the design inspiration, rather than an independently verified performance claim about the watch.
