The watches are two different takes on the Carrera chronograph rather than size variants of one model: one is a 39 mm automatic chronograph, while the other is a 42 mm limited tourbillon chronograph. TAG Heuer describes the dial color as “smokey purple sunray brushed.”

The 39 mm Carrera Chronograph: the more compact, conventional choice
Reference CBS2219.FC6607 pairs a 39 mm steel case with TAG Heuer’s automatic in-house TH20-00 movement. Its stated 80-hour reserve is 15 hours longer than the tourbillon model’s stated reserve. The watch is rated to 100 m water resistance.
The dial has a smokey-purple sunray-brushed finish with black subdials. A bezel-free Glassbox construction and curved crystal frame the display. TAG Heuer lists a black perforated calfskin strap with purple lining and describes its CAPSA system as self-interchangeable. That strap and dial treatment keep the purple accent prominent without making the chronograph subdials purple as well.

The 42 mm Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon: a larger, limited complication
Reference CBS5017.FC6605 increases the case diameter to 42 mm and uses the automatic TH20-09 COSC tourbillon chronograph movement. TAG Heuer states a 65-hour power reserve and 100 m water resistance, and limits the edition to 200 pieces.
The tourbillon is the defining complication and the reason this is not simply a larger version of the standard chronograph. TAG Heuer explains that the mechanism is designed to counteract gravity’s effects on accuracy. That description is not a comparative accuracy test: the available specifications do not establish that this model is more accurate in real-world use than the TH20-00 watch.
