The Full Auto Orient King Diver discussed here is the date-only vintage model identified as reference T19202—not the day-date Weekly Auto King Diver often associated with the name. Fratello’s 2020 feature dates the T19202 to likely the late 1960s and reports a 42 mm case, a 17-jewel automatic movement and a 40 m water-resistance rating. Those are historical, publication-reported specifications, not a current Orient spec sheet or a guarantee that any surviving example remains water-tight.
Which Orient King Diver is the Full Auto?
“King Diver” covers related watches that are easy to conflate. The Full Auto T19202 is the subject of this article: Fratello describes it as a date-only model and dates it, with qualification, to likely the late 1960s. The Weekly Auto King Diver is a separate, day-and-date model. Its reference is identified in Fratello’s related feature as 19410; Orient’s official history records the original 1965 Weekly King Diver as Cal. 660.
The distinction matters because a shared name and overlapping design language do not establish shared specifications. In particular, the official history’s 1965 figures belong to the Weekly King Diver, not automatically to the T19202.
What the T19202 is reported to offer
Fratello’s 2020 feature reports the following specifications for the vintage Full Auto reference. These should be treated as that article’s account of the model, rather than as a current manufacturer specification sheet.
#1 Best Overall
- Powered by the Orient F922 Automatic / Hand-Winding / Hacking Movement
- Case Dimensions: 41.8 mm Diameter, 47 mm Lug to Lug Length, 12.8 mm Thick, 22 mm Lug Width
- Feature: Sapphire Crystal, Day, Date, Screwdown Crown, 120-Cliick Unidirectional Bezel
- Dial Color: Red
- Water resistant 200m (660ft): in general, suitable for professional marine activity and serious surface water sports, but not diving
| Specification | T19202, as reported by Fratello |
|---|---|
| Case diameter | 42 mm |
| Lug-to-lug | 46 mm |
| Case height | 13 mm |
| Lug width | 22 mm |
| Case and crystal | Stainless steel case; acrylic crystal |
| Movement | Automatic, 17 jewels |
| Calendar | Date |
| Bezel and crowns | Bidirectional internal bezel operated by the upper crown; lower crown sets the time |
| Case back | Screw-down, solid case back |
| Water resistance | 40 m, as reported for the vintage model |
The two-crown arrangement places the internal bezel under the crystal, with the upper crown used to turn it and the lower crown reserved for time setting. It gives the watch a recognizable compressor-style layout, but the styling alone does not make it equivalent to a modern dive watch.
How it relates to the 1965 Weekly King Diver
Orient’s official history describes the 1965 Weekly King Diver as combining a compressor-type case with a self-winding movement. Its listed specifications are Cal. 660, 25 jewels, stainless steel, 43 mm diameter and 40 m water resistance; the model is marked discontinued. Orient also characterizes that resistance as roughly comparable to an ordinary watch. These details are specific to the official-history entry for the Weekly King Diver, not evidence for the T19202’s movement or dimensions.

In the 2020 release announcing the modern re-creation, Orient said that the King Diver’s signature styling drew on the 1965 original. The release names cues such as the WEEKLY AUTO ORIENT KING DIVER logo, arrow-shaped hour hand, bar indices, day display at six, and a separate crown for the rotating inner bezel. These design links help explain the family resemblance; they do not make the vintage Full Auto, the Weekly Auto and the modern Revival one model.
How the modern King Diver Revival differs
The Revival is a contemporary watch with its own reference-specific specifications. For example, Orient Watch USA lists the RA-AA0D01B with an F6922 automatic movement that supports hand-winding and hacking, about 40 hours of power reserve, day-and-date display, 43.8 mm case, 14 mm thickness, mineral crystal, internal bidirectional bezel and 200 m water resistance. The official 2020 re-creation release describes the increase in resistance as 20 bar, while the RA-AA0D01B product page gives the model-specific details.

- Orient Mako Automatic Black Dial Men's Watch Ra-Ac0q10n30b
Orient’s RA-AA0D04G page identifies a separate gold-gradient-dial Revival edition, limited to 1,700 pieces internationally, with a brown leather band, F6922 movement and 200 m water resistance. That limited edition is a modern variant, not a T19202; the stated edition size does not establish present-day stock or availability.

What to check before buying a vintage example
Fratello’s author describes the T19202 as relatively rare and recounts acquiring one, but that is an individual collector’s experience rather than a market census. The available sources do not establish a current price range, current supply, or standard service cost. For a particular watch, evaluate the individual example rather than treating rarity or a vintage rating as a proxy for condition.

- Confirm the identity. Ask for clear photographs and documentation that support the T19202 reference. Do not rely on the King Diver name alone; distinguish the date-only Full Auto from the day-date Weekly Auto.
- Inspect originality and condition. Check the dial, hands, crowns, inner bezel and acrylic crystal for replacements, damage or inconsistent condition. A replaced component may be appropriate or necessary, but it should be disclosed.
- Ask about movement and service. Request service records and information about the movement’s running condition. Vintage mechanical work can depend on parts; the related Weekly Auto account describes a service involving a setting spring and a search for parts through Japanese sources, but it does not establish a standard repair cost or parts supply for every T19202.
- Check return terms. Make sure the seller’s return policy gives you a practical way to assess the watch after delivery.
- Treat water resistance as unproven unless recently tested. A reported historical 40 m rating does not establish the seal condition of a decades-old watch. Do not immerse an example based only on its marking; ask whether a qualified watchmaker has tested that specific watch recently.
