What is Technos?
Technos traces its origins to Switzerland. According to the company’s published history, the Gunzinger Frères family business adopted the Technos name, registered the brand, and launched its first Technos watch in 1924. The company says Technos watches began being imported into Brazil in 1958, a history that helps explain the brand’s particular recognition in the Brazilian market.
Technos’s institutional timeline reports that Brazil became the brand’s leading representative in 1973, selling more than one million watches per year. That is a company-reported historical figure, not an independent market study or a statement about sales today.
The company dates the launch of its first connected watch and the Technos Connect line to 2015. Its history describes the milestone as: “Lançamento do primeiro relógio conectado, nasce a linha Technos Connect.”

Are Technos watches good quality?
The available evidence does not establish a brand-wide quality verdict. It does not include independent laboratory tests, a teardown, long-term durability results, or a model-by-model hands-on review. A responsible assessment therefore depends on the exact model and what matters to you: construction, movement, comfort, functions, service options, and price at the time of purchase.
That distinction matters when comparing Technos with Casio or Orient. These are manufacturer-published claims, not independent test results, and they should not be generalized to every Technos watch.
Before buying a particular Connect model, confirm that its manual supports the functions you want and that its app works with your phone and operating system. The overview does not establish compatibility for every phone or prove that each model in the line has identical features. Follow the exact model’s instructions for water exposure rather than interpreting a rating without its usage guidance.

Technos is worth evaluating if a particular model suits your budget, wrist, and intended use.
