Which Rolex GMT-Master II came out with a grey-and-black bezel in 2023?
The 2023 grey-and-black GMT-Master II most likely meant by this description is the reference 126713GRNR. Rolex identifies it as a Yellow Rolesor model, combining Oystersteel and yellow gold. It has a black dial, a bidirectional 24-hour bezel with a grey-and-black Cerachrom insert, and a five-piece Jubilee bracelet.
Rolex says the grey-and-black two-colour ceramic bezel combination was unveiled in 2023 on two versions: a Yellow Rolesor watch and one made entirely from 18 ct yellow gold. The later Oystersteel reference 126710GRNR also uses a grey-and-black bezel, but it is a different configuration. Check the reference and metal combination rather than identifying the watch by bezel color alone.
What gives the 126713GRNR its vintage vibe?
The effect comes from the combination of yellow gold and steel, a black dial, and the Jubilee bracelet. It is reasonable to call that look vintage-leaning; “vintage vibe” is an aesthetic reading, not an official Rolex category. The watch is not presented as a reproduction of a particular historical GMT-Master.

The Jubilee bracelet has its own older history: Rolex says it was created for the Datejust’s 1945 launch. That heritage helps explain why it can read as classic, but it does not make the 126713GRNR a vintage watch or a reissue.
Rolex describes the grey-and-black bezel’s appeal this way: “These patented, two-colour Cerachrom inserts blend the exceptional resistance of high-technology ceramic with the iconic aesthetics of the original GMT-Master.” That is the brand’s characterization of the material and design, rather than an independent assessment.

How does the GMT-Master II show a second time zone?
The arrow-tipped 24-hour hand completes one rotation per day. Read it against the bezel’s 24-hour scale to track a reference time, such as home time, while the conventional hour and minute hands show local time. Turning the bezel lets the wearer read an alternative time zone.
For a time-zone change, the local hour hand can be moved independently in one-hour increments using the crown. The minute hand, seconds hand, and 24-hour hand do not move with that adjustment. The independently adjustable hour hand is central to the GMT-Master II function; Rolex traces the GMT-Master’s origins to 1955 and the GMT-Master II name to a 1982 movement change that enabled this setting.

These are specifications on Rolex’s official model page, not results from an independent comparison. Rolex’s GMT-Master II history also gives the calibre 3285 an approximately 70-hour power reserve.
How to compare it with another grey-and-black GMT-Master II
Start with the reference and construction, then compare bracelet and other verified configuration details. The grey-and-black bezel by itself does not tell you whether a watch is the 2023 Yellow Rolesor model or the later steel version.
