Its 18K rose-gold case and dial are joined by three movement bridges that Armin Strom describes as solid gold, so the precious metal forms part of the visible movement structure rather than only the outer shell. The manufacturer lists the watch at CHF 69,000 and limits the edition to eight pieces worldwide.
Where the gold appears
Most gold watches stop at the case. The Tribute³ Au750, reference RG26-TRI.AU, carries gold into three places, according to Armin Strom’s product listing:

- The case: 18K rose gold, 38 mm in diameter and 9.38 mm high.
- The dial and subdial: both made of 18K rose gold, with the dial set off-centre.
- The movement bridges: all three are described as solid gold. The three-quarter bridge is the one visible through the sapphire case back.
The bridges are the plates that hold the gear train and balance in place, so gold here is part of the mechanism’s structure. Armin Strom’s launch release of 2 October 2026 frames the piece as a new generation of its Tribute line, with the tagline “The Tribute evolves. A new generation takes shape.”

The three guilloché patterns
Armin Strom names three distinct guilloché (engine-turned) patterns on this watch. Each sits on a different surface, which is why the finishing reads as a deliberate sequence rather than a single texture.
Soleil on the off-centre dial
The main dial carries a radiating soleil pattern, with the design arranged around an off-centre axis. Because the dial is 18K rose gold, the pattern catches light as a warm, sunburst-like field.
Grain d’orge on the subdial
The subdial receives a grain d’orge (barley-grain) finish. It is a smaller, more directional texture, so the two patterns on the front differ in scale as well as in shape.
Clou de Paris on the three-quarter bridge
Clou de Paris, the small pyramid-studded pattern often called hobnail, is applied to the three-quarter bridge. This is the surface a wearer sees through the case back, which makes it the only finishing detail of the three that is visible from the rear.

The AMW21 calibre is a manual-winding movement with a stated power reserve of 100 hours. Armin Strom attributes this to a motor-barrel arrangement in which the arbor winds the mainspring inside a fixed barrel drum. The brand is the source of both the arrangement and the reserve figure. This article does not include independent timing or reserve testing, so readers should treat 100 hours as the manufacturer’s specification.
Price, edition size and availability
Armin Strom lists the Tribute³ Au750 at CHF 69,000 on its product page, accessed 9 October 2026, and states that the edition is limited to eight pieces worldwide in 2026. These are the manufacturer’s own price and edition figures, not market statistics.
The listing shows what Armin Strom publishes, not whether a particular piece is still available. Stock levels, prices in other currencies, and retailer availability were not established from the manufacturer’s material. Confirm those details directly with Armin Strom or an authorised retailer before planning a purchase. Secondary coverage, including Fratello’s article of 8 October 2026, provides editorial context but is not the source for the specifications above.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Strap, water resistance and sizing
Two details in the listing are easy to misread.
- Water resistance: the listing states 5 ATM. That is the rating the manufacturer publishes, and it is not a recommendation for swimming or diving. The listing does not say how the grey nubuck strap performs in water, so keep the watch away from water unless you have confirmed suitability with the brand.
- The 18 mm figure: this is the lug-to-lug measurement, the distance from the tip of the top lug to the tip of the bottom lug. It is not stated to be the strap attachment width. Do not assume an 18 mm strap will fit. Ask the manufacturer for the lug width before buying an aftermarket strap.
How to compare it with other gold watches
No direct alternative is established by the manufacturer’s material, so this watch should be judged against others on the same measurable points. Use a consistent set of criteria and take each competitor’s figures from its own current source:
- How much precious metal appears in the movement, not only the case
- Case diameter and height
- Stated power reserve and whether it is brand-supplied or independently measured
- Edition size
- Listed price, in a stated currency and market
On these criteria, the Tribute³ Au750 stands out for its movement bridges and its edition size. Whether those points justify CHF 69,000 for a particular buyer is a question of priorities that the specifications alone cannot settle.

The name “gold bug” is a playful reference to the gold used in the case, dial and movement bridges. The sections above keep the manufacturer’s claims attributed to Armin Strom throughout.
