The Hour House opened in London in 2018 as a showroom for vintage watches, fine jewellery and independent watch brands curated by Skolorr. It was designed to give visitors a chance to inspect watches in person, with a VIP lounge for private viewings and events. Its present-day operating status is unconfirmed, so do not assume the address is open to visitors.
What The Hour House was
Entrepreneur Sky Sit and her team at Skolorr launched The Hour House as a physical extension of Skolorr’s curated online marketplace. Fratello’s 12 November 2018 account described a showroom paired with a VIP lounge, rather than a conventional single-brand boutique. Its purpose was to let people examine fine watches in person, particularly independent watches that could be harder to encounter in ordinary retail. That was the article’s explanation of the project, not a measured account of the wider watch market. Fratello’s launch report
What visitors could see at launch
The launch-era offer combined vintage watches, fine jewellery and independent watches selected by Skolorr. Fratello specifically named Claude Meylan and Cyrus among the brands exhibited at the time. Those names are historical examples, not confirmation of what may be available at the address today.
The concept centered on the difference between discovering a watch online and handling it before a purchase. The lounge was intended for private viewings, and the space also hosted watch events. The launch event had taken place the week before Fratello published its report and was described as a gathering for a selected group.
