The LIV GX-AC Signature Orange makes a strong visual impression through sheer size as much as color: its 46 mm case, layered black-and-orange dial, and orange silicone strap are hard to mistake for a discreet everyday watch. It is an automatic chronograph with an ETA 7750 movement, but its industrial styling and substantial dimensions are the defining parts of its personality.
How big is the LIV GX-AC Signature Orange?
By the numbers, this is a large, thick watch. LIV lists a 46.0 mm case diameter, 15.5 mm case height, 52.4 mm height with lugs, and 131.6 g weight. The maker gives a recommended wrist range of 6.70–9.10 inches. Time+Tide’s hands-on review also highlights the 46 mm diameter and 52.4 mm lug-to-lug span. Those measurements suggest trying it on if you are unsure about the fit: case diameter alone does not tell the whole story, and the lug span is substantial.
LIV’s current product specifications are the source for the dimensions and weight; Time+Tide’s review adds on-wrist context.
What makes the design so conspicuous?
The watch layers several attention-getting details rather than relying on one orange accent. Time+Tide describes a hobnail bezel secured by six screws and a multi-sector black dial, while LIV characterizes the dial as multi-layered in orange and black. Orange stencil-style numerals stand out against the dark dial, and black sword-shaped hands add another strong graphic element.

LIV lists two silicone strap treatments: black with an orange accent, or orange with black. The orange version carries the dial color onto the wrist; the black option tones that down without making the case or dial visually restrained. Time+Tide’s 2023 article also discussed a black IP-coated bracelet option, but its current availability is not established.
What movement and functions does it have?
LIV specifies an ETA 7750 automatic chronograph with a date and a stated 42-hour power reserve. The movement identification is also in Time+Tide’s review, but that article is inconsistent about reserve: its prose says 48 hours while its summary table says 42. LIV’s current specification states 42 hours, so that is the clearest figure for the present listing.

LIV also says it certifies and guarantees accuracy of +/- five seconds per day. That is the manufacturer’s claim, not an independent test result. There is a similar specification inconsistency on the LIV page: a feature graphic refers to 26 jewels, while its technical specification lists 25. Since the page does not resolve the difference, the jewel count is best treated cautiously.
Is it suitable for swimming?
LIV rates the watch to 100 m (330 ft) water resistance and specifies a screw-down crown; Time+Tide repeats the 100 m rating. These are reported specifications, not an independent water-resistance test. The available descriptions do not provide an activity-by-activity use guide, so consult LIV for guidance on care and use before exposing the watch to water.

- Material: Dense Carbon case provides durability and toughness, perfect for outdoor activities.
What does it cost, and is it available?
When LIV’s product page was accessed in 2026, it displayed a price of US$1,650 and marked the watch sold out. Price and stock can change, so check the current LIV listing rather than relying on that snapshot. Time+Tide listed A$1,931 in its article published on 18 May 2023; that is a historical Australian price, not a current quote.
What should you know about the straps?
LIV lists a 23 mm lug width and the two silicone strap colorways noted above. That measurement is useful when looking for options, but width alone does not establish that any third-party strap will fit: attachment shape and clearance matter too. Confirm compatibility with the seller or manufacturer before buying a replacement. The 2023 review’s mention of a black IP-coated bracelet does not establish that the bracelet is currently offered.
Who is this watch for?
The GX-AC Signature Orange makes the most sense for someone who wants a large, visibly technical chronograph and enjoys its strong orange-and-black contrast. It is a less natural fit for a buyer prioritizing a slim profile, subdued styling, or an easily overlooked watch. Time+Tide contributor Fergus Nash summed up its intended character as “Built like a tank and with head-turning aesthetics to match, this is the perfect watch for those who aren’t afraid to rock a watch that’s loud and proud.”
