The TAG Heuer Aquaracer Solargraph “Sundowner” launched in London at Time+Tide’s new Watch Discovery Studio in Oxford Circus. For founder Andrew McUtchen, it was a double first: the first event at the studio and the first TAG Heuer–Time+Tide collaboration. He presented the watch with Van Mulrayan, identified in Time+Tide’s recap as TAG Heuer Australia’s General Manager.
A first event for the Oxford Circus studio
In his 19 November 2024 recap, McUtchen called the venue the London Watch Discovery Studio and described the gathering as its inaugural event. Mulrayan travelled from Australia to co-present the collaboration with him.

The London gathering was part of a launch spanning Time+Tide’s London and Melbourne studios. After the London event, McUtchen joined the Melbourne launch by livestream. As he put it, “when the sun sets in one place, it rises in another.” Time+Tide later reported that the Melbourne event followed 12 hours after London and that 90 guests attended the London gathering; those are the organizer’s figures.
What the “Sundowner” name and design mean
The collaboration brought together TAG Heuer’s Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph platform and Time+Tide. McUtchen described its design brief as a “tool watch with luxury touches.” The name is a nod to Australian slang for a drink enjoyed while watching the sunset, and the styling follows that theme: an anthracite dial, khaki fabric strap and rose-gold-coloured accents.

Time+Tide’s product introduction describes tinted, transparent horizontal slits in the dial as channels that allow natural or artificial light to reach the solar movement. The hands and indices use orange Super-LumiNova, with the minute hand glowing green. The indices, hands and co-branded shields are specified as 18k 5N rose-gold plated—not solid gold.

Launch timing, price and availability
Time+Tide’s 15 November 2024 product introduction listed availability for 18 November at 21:00 CET / 19 November at 07:00 AEDT. Its event recap subsequently described early access at 7 pm GMT and public sale at 8 pm GMT on 19 November. These were launch-era times, not current buying guidance.

The product introduction gave an Australian launch price of A$4,450. It is inconsistent on the UK price: the article text says £2,700, while its specification table says £2,750. The source does not resolve the discrepancy.
Time+Tide later reported that the 250 watches sold out globally in under 24 hours. TAG Heuer’s official page for reference WBP1181.FN8024 currently marks it discontinued. Those records establish the reported launch sellout and the official page’s status, but do not establish present-day resale prices or marketplace stock.
