The Vario VERSA Mother of Pearl is a reversible dual-time quartz watch: its watch head turns inside a surrounding frame to reveal either of two dial faces. The MOP editions pair an off-white or black-tinted mother-of-pearl face with a silver face, and use a separate Ronda Slimtech 1062 movement for each display. How the VERSA’s reversible case works
The watch head rotates vertically around a central axle within the case frame, allowing the wearer to choose which dial faces outward. Time+Tide says the watch must be removed from the wrist to turn it. This is a two-face watch, not a single dial that changes its display: each side has its own crown and its own Ronda Slimtech 1062 quartz movement, positioned back-to-back, according to Time+Tide and Vario.
Vario presents the two displays as a way to track time across offsets including half-hour differences. In a statement quoted by Time+Tide, the brand says the VERSA can track time from New York to Delhi. That is the manufacturer’s product claim, not an independently tested performance finding.
Mother-of-pearl and silver dial options
The MOP versions reported at launch came in off-white and black-tinted mother of pearl. Each is paired with a silver secondary dial. The difference is not just the MOP color: the two faces use distinct marking layouts.

The design gives the wearer a choice between a more decorative, numeral-free MOP face and a silver face with printed cardinal numerals. Time+Tide characterizes the case as Art Deco—more specifically, Streamline Moderne—with rounded polished curves and a stepped look around the rotating case. The dual movements mean each face operates as its own time display; the product is not described as one movement driving both sides. No independent accuracy, durability or water-resistance testing is established by the cited sources.
Strap fit and wrist size
Vario cautions that the included strap may be too short for wrists measuring 7.5 inches or more. The brand says it can provide a 5 mm longer Onyx Black Epsom strap for wrists around 7.5–8 inches. Confirm strap length and buckle fit with Vario when ordering, particularly if you are near the stated range.

The 20 mm lug width tapering to 16 mm gives a useful starting point if considering another strap, and Time+Tide notes the lug width allows alternate straps. Width alone does not establish compatibility: verify the attachment, usable length and buckle dimensions before buying a replacement.
