For a high-stakes jungle heist, the watches on the end of the stunts are less about matching outfits than revealing character: Luke Hobbs wears a conspicuous Panerai, John Wick a restrained Carl F. Bucherer, and the crew in Triple Frontier lean toward practical-looking Suunto, Timex and Casio models. These are identifications from specialist watch spotting, not a complete set of official costume records, so the confidence and detail vary by watch.
How to read the on-screen watch identifications
The models below come chiefly from watch-publication and specialist identification articles. Those sources are useful for spotting references, but a watch seen in a film is not automatically confirmed by a production or costume record. The distinction matters most for Hobbs & Shaw: a costume-designer interview supports the Panerai identification for Hobbs, while the precise models for both characters are not accompanied here by official production documentation.

Hobbs & Shaw: statement watches for Hobbs and Shaw
Luke Hobbs: Panerai Luminor Submersible
Time+Tide identifies Dwayne Johnson’s Luke Hobbs as wearing a Panerai Luminor Submersible. A 2019 interview with the film’s costume designer independently supports that identification and says a suede band was fitted for the movie. Watch ID uses more tentative wording, describing the watch as seeming to be a Panerai. Taken together, the sources support the brand and model family, but not a confidently established exact reference. Deckard Shaw: vintage Rolex Submariner 5513
Time+Tide identifies Jason Statham’s Deckard Shaw with a vintage Rolex Submariner reference 5513. This is a source-attributed watch spotting rather than a reference confirmed by a costume or production record. If using the identification to search for a similar watch, check the reference and listing details rather than assuming that any vintage Submariner is the same one. John Wick: a dress watch amid the action
John Wick: Carl F. Bucherer Manero AutoDate
Watch ID identifies Keanu Reeves’s John Wick as wearing the Carl F. Bucherer Manero AutoDate reference 00.10908.08.13.01. Unlike the conspicuous Panerai associated with Hobbs, the Manero is a quieter dress-watch choice for the character. Watch ID also says the watches in the John Wick films relate to an official product-placement deal and notes director Chad Stahelski’s brand ambassadorship; that commercial context is Watch ID’s account. - From Summit Entertainment and the producer of CLASH OF THE TITANS and THE TOWN comes a tale of adrenaline-fueled revenge and redemption. When a retired hit man is forced back into action by a sadistic young thug, he hunts down his adversaries with the skill and ruthlessness that made him an underworld legend.
A Carl F. Bucherer brand publication connects the watch to the film’s recurring clock imagery. Director Chad Stahelski says, “The proverbial ticking clock is very often present in John Wick Chapter 3 – Parabellum, be it on Times Square billboards, through the passage of the sun in the Moroccan desert, and of course on the wrists of the characters,” and actor Daniel Bernhardt says, “Bucherer Manero AutoDate was the perfect watch for the character John Wick.” These are statements in a brand publication, not independent evaluations. Winston: a related Manero AutoDate variation
Watch ID identifies Ian McShane’s Winston as wearing a related Carl F. Bucherer Manero AutoDate, reference 00.10915.08.33.01, with a black dial. That is a separate reference from the model identified for Wick. Watch ID’s John Wick identification.

Triple Frontier: field-watch practicality
The watches identified for the crew in Triple Frontier make a different impression: a mix of digital and expedition-style models rather than luxury dress watches. Watch ID lists the following character-to-watch pairings. Its descriptions of functions and durability are model descriptions on that page, not current manufacturer specifications or independent test results. Watch ID’s Triple Frontier watch list.
| Character | Watch identification | On-screen or listed details |
|---|---|---|
| Oscar Isaac | Suunto Core All Black, SS014279010 | All-black outdoor-watch styling |
| Ben Affleck | Timex Expedition, T499759J | Watch ID describes it as WR 100m |
| Charlie Hunnam | Timex Expedition T49896 Expedition Rugged Shock Digital CAT | Watch ID lists time, day, date, alarm, chronograph, timer, Indiglo backlight, water resistance and shock resistance |
| Pedro Pascal | Casio AE1200WH-1A | Watch ID identification |
This list captures the contrast in the film’s look, but it does not establish that a particular modern listing matches the screen-used watch in every detail. The model numbers are the most useful starting point for comparing listings.

Choosing a watch inspired by these films
Buying a watch that resembles a screen identification is a separate task from identifying what appeared on screen. Before purchasing, compare the model or reference number, dial, strap, condition and listing photographs; check any seller claims against the exact model. For the Hobbs Panerai and Shaw Rolex in particular, the available identifications do not establish a single fully confirmed reference for the former or production confirmation for the latter. The cited sources do not verify live stock or current prices, so treat both as facts to check on the actual listing rather than assumptions.
