The Quest, Vacheron Constantin’s exhibition for its 270th anniversary, ran at Harrods in Knightsbridge from 16 October to 13 November 2025. The month-long presentation joined historic watches and watchmaking materials with anniversary releases and immersive displays. It has ended; it is not currently open to visitors.
When and where was The Quest?
The exhibition ran from Thursday 16 October through Thursday 13 November 2025 at Harrods, 85–135 Brompton Road, Knightsbridge, London SW1X 7XL, according to Vacheron Constantin’s event page. The Maison presented it to mark 270 years since its founding in 1755.
Harrods described the exhibition as open to all and located across the Fine Watches department’s Ground and Lower Ground Floors. It is now a retrospective, not a current Harrods attraction.
What did visitors see?
The presentation connected Vacheron Constantin’s history and watchmaking with contemporary work. Harrods’ account describes historic timepieces, original documents, components and watchmaking tools, as well as heritage pieces from the Maison’s private collection. Those historical objects were shown alongside selected anniversary watches; the releases named by Harrods were not presented as a complete inventory of the exhibition.

Anniversary watches
Harrods highlighted a new iteration of the Historiques 222, three limited-edition Traditionnelle Openface novelties and two Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin watches. These releases gave the historical displays a contemporary counterpart, illustrating how the anniversary presentation linked the Maison’s past with current watchmaking.
Immersive archive and sky display
In its partnership account, Harrods described four immersive themes and an interactive archive book that presented historical material. The Fine Watches ceiling was transformed into a view of the Milky Way; visitors could select a date and place to create a chart of the sky at that moment.

How was the exhibition organised?
Vacheron Constantin framed the experience around Heritage, Craftsmanship and Innovation. Its event page says the route began on Hans Crescent and ended in the Fine Watch Room. That route connected an immersive, department-store presentation with the brand’s watch retail setting, rather than presenting the exhibition as a standalone museum show.
The contrast at the heart of the experience was between tangible watchmaking evidence—timepieces, documents, components and tools—and scenography designed to invite interaction. Harrods’ published descriptions establish what was displayed and how visitors could engage with it, but do not report visitor numbers, sales results or other measured outcomes.
Is The Quest still on at Harrods?
No. Its published run ended on 13 November 2025. Vacheron Constantin continues to list a Harrods boutique in the Fine Watch Room at 87–135 Brompton Road, with after-sales services and embossing among its listed services. The official boutique listing is separate from the past exhibition; check its current details and opening hours before visiting.

It’s not just about preserving the past; it’s about actively building upon it.”
The statement appeared in Harrods’ editorial account of the exhibition.
