What changed on the 2022 Breitling Navitimer?
The 2022 release was a refresh of the long-running Navitimer chronograph, rather than a departure from its defining design. Fratello’s launch coverage reported that the familiar circular slide rule remained, while the area between it and the main dial took on a bowl-like profile.
- The date moved to 6 o’clock, inside the 12-hour counter.
- The central chronograph hand’s B-anchor counterweight was replaced by AOPA wings at 12 o’clock.
- The lugs, crown and pushers were rounded or slimmed, and the bezel teeth were refined.
- All three reported case sizes received the B01 movement, including the 41 mm version, which the article says had not used it in the preceding generation.
These details and specifications reflect the launch models described in Fratello’s March 29, 2022 article; they should not be assumed to describe every later Navitimer reference.

The same launch article described the watches it covered as chronometer-certified, with display backs, 3-bar water resistance and a five-year warranty. Those are launch-article claims, not a guarantee that every subsequent Navitimer has identical specifications or warranty terms.

For this release, the core combination was the retained slide rule and chronograph identity with a revised dial transition, adjusted details, and B01 movement reported across 41 mm, 43 mm and 46 mm versions.
