The Rolex “Tiffany” Oyster Perpetual: What Rolex Actually Calls It

Rolex’s brochure calls the Oyster Perpetual m126000-0006 dial turquoise blue—not Tiffany. Here’s what that distinction means for buyers and collectors.

Rolex’s official material identifies the Oyster Perpetual’s blue-green dial as turquoise blue, not “Tiffany.” The Rolex brochure lists that dial on Oyster Perpetual reference m126000-0006; it does not describe a Tiffany & Co. collaboration. “Tiffany” is informal shorthand when used for this Rolex dial, not the official Rolex designation.

What Rolex calls the dial

Rolex’s Oyster Perpetual product page presents the collection in a range of dial colors. Its official brochure identifies reference m126000-0006 as an Oystersteel watch with a turquoise-blue dial. That is the name to use when describing the watch in Rolex’s own terms.

Some sellers or watch enthusiasts may call the shade “Tiffany blue.” That phrase describes a perceived color resemblance; it does not establish that Tiffany & Co. made, endorsed, or collaborated on the watch. Tiffany’s official trademark information lists TIFFANY, TIFFANY & CO., and TIFFANY BLUE among its trademarks, but does not identify Rolex’s Oyster Perpetual as a Tiffany product.

What the “Tiffany” label does—and does not—tell you

A listing that calls an Oyster Perpetual “Tiffany” may be using casual color shorthand, or it may refer to a dial that has been altered or otherwise described by the seller. The label alone does not verify the watch’s dial, originality, provenance, or relationship with Tiffany & Co.

The specific Rolex material cited here does not establish whether a Rolex dial was ever historically co-signed by Tiffany & Co. That is a separate historical question, and the modern turquoise-blue Oyster Perpetual should not be used as proof either for or against historical examples.

How to assess a watch advertised as “Tiffany”

Check the exact reference and official description

Compare the claimed reference with Rolex’s published product information. For reference m126000-0006, Rolex’s brochure names the dial turquoise blue; it does not call it Tiffany. A seller’s alternative wording is not an official model specification.

Ask Rolex about the particular watch

Rolex says that new and genuine watches are sold exclusively by Official Rolex Jewelers, who warrant authenticity and provide the international five-year guarantee for qualifying purchases. Its guarantee does not cover watches materially modified with non-genuine parts, including a dial. For a specific watch, consult an Official Rolex Jeweler or Rolex service channel rather than relying on a color label or photographs.

What the Oyster Perpetual is

The Oyster Perpetual is a Rolex collection built around the brand’s waterproof Oyster case and self-winding movement. Rolex says the original Oyster Perpetual launched in 1931 as its first self-winding waterproof chronometer wristwatch. The company describes the current collection as available in case diameters of 28, 31, 34, 36, and 41 mm, with water resistance guaranteed to 100 metres (330 feet).

Rolex’s newsroom describes the collection as “Displaying hours, minutes and seconds, and featuring a sophisticated finish, the Oyster Perpetual represents the chronometer wristwatch in its purest form.” These collection facts help identify the watch family, but they do not make “Tiffany” an official dial name.
