They make for an unexpected watch story—but not a verified inventory: photographs and watch-spotting reports cannot establish everything he owns or what remains in his collection.
What watch did Jennifer Lopez give Ben Affleck?
The watch associated with Jennifer Lopez is best identified as a Franck Muller Cintrée Curvex with a Chrome Hearts bracelet, according to reporting by GQ and Hodinkee. The distinction matters: the curving watch is attributed to Franck Muller, while the substantial jewelry-style bracelet was made by Chrome Hearts and was not a factory bracelet option from Franck Muller.

GQ traced the watch to the couple’s early-2000s photographs and the 2002 “Jenny From The Block” video, in which Lopez gives Affleck a box. The reports support the model family and bracelet maker, but do not establish an exact reference number, the watch’s original configuration, or a fully documented chain of custody. Its contrast—a sculptural dress watch paired with a bold bracelet—is part of what makes the story memorable.
What watches has Ben Affleck been spotted wearing?
Published sightings suggest a mix of recognizable Rolex and Cartier designs, unusual display watches, and custom work. These are reported appearances, not proof of a complete personal collection.

Louis Moinet Memoris
Affleck wore a Louis Moinet Memoris monopusher chronograph to the 2024 Golden Globes, according to GQ’s 13 January 2024 report. British GQ reported another sighting at the Animals premiere the prior week in its 6 October 2026 article, making that the latest sighting covered here—not evidence that the watch is a recent purchase or a permanent favorite.
The Memoris has a 46 mm case and an open display that emphasizes its chronograph components. Its single pusher starts, stops, and resets the chronograph; subdials distinguish elapsed-time readings from ordinary timekeeping, as described by British GQ. That mechanical focus makes it a striking choice beside more familiar celebrity-watch sightings.
Hermès Arceau L’Heure De La Lune
Reports from 2022 identified Affleck wearing the Hermès Arceau L’Heure De La Lune, an unconventional moonphase display. Time+Tide describes a 43 mm watch with two revolving subdials that display the time and date alongside the moon’s phases. GQ explains the visual effect: rotating discs for hours and minutes travel around a dial with mother-of-pearl moons.
Customized Rolex Daytona and Submariner
Affleck has been linked in separate reports to two customized Rolexes; they should not be conflated with standard factory configurations.

- Daytona “La Montoya”: Time+Tide reported a customized Rolex Daytona associated with Artisans de Genève and racing driver Juan Pablo Montoya. Its described details include a skeletonized dial, colored registers, a forged-carbon bezel, and a brushed Oyster bracelet.
- Submariner: GQ separately reported a customized, skeletonized Rolex Submariner during Affleck and Lopez’s 2022 honeymoon period.
Both sightings point to a taste for familiar watch names rendered in less conventional forms. The photographed custom details are not specifications of ordinary, unmodified Rolex models.
Rolex GMT-Master II “Batman”
In October 2022, GQ reported Affleck wearing a Rolex GMT-Master II with a black-and-blue bezel. Collectors commonly call that color configuration the “Batman”; it is an informal nickname, not the official model name. GQ’s report made a playful connection between the nickname and Affleck’s screen role as Batman.

Cartier sightings
Time+Tide’s watch-spotting account also identified a Calibre de Cartier during the The Town press period and a Ballon Bleu. These are reported sightings rather than confirmed collection entries, but they add more classic, dress-oriented designs to a set of watches that also includes bold customizations and technically unusual displays.

In a Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie interview published 27 September 2019, Affleck described a practical streak behind his interest in watches. Asked what he values, he said: “Reliability, durability and practicality. I don’t like watches that expect you to spend hours reading the user manual. I prefer intuitive watches. I also like automatic winding, preferably with a sapphire crystal back.” Those comments date to 2019 and should not be read as a current ranking of the watches he wears.

His account of how he came to wear a Rolex is similarly grounded in use rather than status. He recalled wanting a Paul Newman Rolex Daytona but being unable to afford one, then finding a vintage Rolex Submariner in a small Beverly Hills store. In the same interview, he said, “I like Rolex watches and the way they stand up to anything…” He also remembered a childhood dive watch that broke while he was riding his bike, yet remained a source of pride because it was his first watch.
For his first film watch, Affleck recalled a Hamilton Khaki Field for Pearl Harbor: “An American brand, fairly classic, fairly rustic, but never out of style.” Taken together, the interview recollections help explain why his reported sightings can span sturdy, legible watches and more expressive pieces without implying one fixed style.
Which watch did Affleck wear in The Accountant 2?
The Timex Expedition Scout belongs in a separate category: it was identified by GQ as a watch worn by Affleck’s character in The Accountant 2, not as part of his personal watch sightings. GQ’s 16 July 2025 article points to its webbed strap, 24-hour display, and luminous hands. It is a useful example of how a watch can contribute to a character’s look without telling us what the actor owns.
