The sneaker in question is adidas’ square-toe Japan, a glossy brownish-black leather version created with the Whitaker Group for its “Do Not Duplicate” collection. Highsnobiety reported a $160 retail price and A Ma Maniére availability when it covered the launch on October 3, 2026; that report does not confirm current stock or pricing.
Which adidas Japan sneaker is it?
It is a square-toe variation of adidas’ Japan sneaker, not simply a standard Japan colorway. Highsnobiety identifies it as part of the “Do Not Duplicate” collection, associated with adidas and the Whitaker Group. The collaboration was presented in Atlanta as the city’s fashion week was underway. Highsnobiety’s launch coverage supplies the product identification and design details.
What makes this version look different?
The defining change is the squared-off toe, paired with a semi-thick rubber sole. Highsnobiety describes the upper as glossy brownish-black leather, finished with crisp white contrast stitching and gold branding. Together, those details give the shoe a dressier appearance than a conventional sporty Japan colorway, though that is a visual characterization—not evidence about comfort or performance.
How does the Whitaker Group fit into the release?
The release belongs to the “Do Not Duplicate” collection associated with the Whitaker Group. Highsnobiety situates the collaboration in Atlanta and notes the group’s connection to the Jaide, Social Status, and A Ma Maniére retail stores there. The coverage also describes the collection as speaking to Atlanta’s style; that framing is the publication’s interpretation, not a quoted statement from adidas or the Whitaker Group.

Price and where it was reported available
