On August 30, 2020, an Amazon UK listing reported for Mobvoi’s upcoming TicWatch Pro 3 showed a price of £299.99 and an expected arrival date of October 1, 2020. That date was a retailer delivery estimate, not a formal Mobvoi launch confirmation, and the listing did not include the watch’s full specifications. The report’s suggestion that US pricing might reach $350 was speculation, not a confirmed US price.
What the Amazon UK listing actually said
Droid Life reported that Amazon UK had listed the TicWatch Pro 3 at £299.99, with an expected October 1, 2020 arrival. The page also showed a product image and dimensions of 45.1 × 45.1 × 12.6 mm, but it did not disclose a complete feature list. The report described the watch as an expected early adopter of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear 4100 platform. Droid Life’s August 30, 2020 report
October 1 was an estimate, not a confirmed launch announcement
The wording matters: Amazon reportedly expected the item to arrive on October 1. That could point to a release around that date, but a retailer’s estimated delivery date is weaker evidence than an official launch announcement. In the cited report, Mobvoi had not publicly confirmed October 1. The headline’s “launch date” phrasing was shorthand for the date shown by the listing.
What £299.99 meant for buyers
£299.99 was the price shown on the UK listing in August 2020—not a verified US price or, on the evidence in the report, an official Mobvoi MSRP. Droid Life compared it with a cited UK price of £222.99 for the TicWatch Pro 2020, a difference of £77. That comparison suggested a more premium position, but it was not a like-for-like official MSRP comparison. The report’s possible US price above $300, or around $350, was an estimate; it should not be treated as a confirmed US launch price or derived from a currency conversion. Why Snapdragon Wear 4100 drew attention
The main technology hook was the prospect of a newer Qualcomm wearable platform in a Wear OS watch. Qualcomm identifies the TicWatch Pro 3 GPS as the first Wear OS smartwatch using Snapdragon Wear 4100. The platform was positioned as an advance in processing, graphics, power efficiency, connectivity and display support. Qualcomm’s platform overview describes the family, while its device page identifies the watch. Qualcomm’s TicWatch Pro 3 device page · Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear overview
Mobvoi later advertised increases of 85% in CPU and memory performance, 150% in GPU performance, and 25% in power savings against Snapdragon Wear 3100. Those are vendor/platform claims, not independent measurements of the finished watch in everyday use. Mobvoi’s product information

4100 or 4100+?
First-party materials do not use one label consistently. Mobvoi’s GPS specification names the Snapdragon Wear 4100 platform and its dual-processor system; Qualcomm device pages describe the Pro 3 and Pro 3 LTE using Snapdragon Wear 4100+, while also identifying the product with the 4100 platform. It is safest to refer to the Snapdragon Wear 4100 family and attribute the specific label to the source using it, rather than silently treating the terms as interchangeable. How the dual-display design affects battery life
The watch pairs a full-color AMOLED screen for the Wear OS experience with a low-power FSTN display. Mobvoi’s Dual Display 2.0 design lets the watch rely more heavily on the simpler display when operating in a reduced-power mode. In Smart Mode, the AMOLED and smartwatch features are in use; Essential Mode prioritizes endurance while substantially reducing functionality. Mobvoi’s display and mode information · Mobvoi FAQ

Mobvoi’s “up to 72 hours” Smart Mode and “up to 45 days” Essential Mode figures are maximum manufacturer estimates, not a guarantee of everyday runtime. The 45-day claim does not describe ordinary use as a full-featured Wear OS watch. Actual endurance depends on the selected mode and usage.

TicWatch Pro 3 LTE
The LTE model adds cellular connectivity for compatible networks and use cases, but it is not simply the GPS model with an identical battery profile. Carrier and regional support matter, and cellular use can affect endurance. Check compatibility for the specific model and carrier before buying. What to check before buying one now
The original listing price and arrival estimate are historical. The sources cited here do not establish current availability or a current price, so £299.99 should not be used as a present-day buying benchmark. The TicWatch Pro 3 is a 2020-era Wear OS device; anyone considering used or old stock should verify its condition and present-day software situation rather than assuming that a product page means active support.
- Software and apps: Check the watch’s installed software, available updates and compatibility with the services and apps you need. Wear OS support can change over time. Mobvoi’s comparison page lists compatibility requirements, but the exact experience also depends on the phone and watch software state. Mobvoi model comparison
- Battery condition: On a used watch, battery health may matter more than the original advertised maximums. Ask about charging behavior and return terms.
- Fit: The GPS model is roughly 47–48 mm across and 12.2 mm thick. That is a substantial case, particularly on a smaller wrist.
- Water use: IP68 and pool-swimming suitability do not establish suitability for diving, hot tubs or high-pressure water.
- Health features: Heart-rate, blood-oxygen, sleep, exercise and stress-related functions are consumer wellness tools, not medical diagnosis.
- Warranty and seller: Confirm warranty coverage, return rights and whether the watch is new, refurbished or used.
