CT60 debuted in 2015 as a watch collection linking the brand’s New York history to Swiss watchmaking. Tiffany announced the line on March 16 and said it would reach boutiques on April 2. At a London preview before launch, Fratello’s Robert-Jan Broer tried the steel bracelet model and singled out the 42 mm chronograph as his favorite. His observations are a contemporary reviewer’s impressions, while the historical inspiration and specifications below are Tiffany’s own statements.
When did the Tiffany CT60 come out?
Tiffany & Co. Japan announced the CT60 on March 16, 2015, and said boutique sales would begin April 2, 2015. Robert-Jan Broer of Fratello reported seeing the collection at a London preview at the end of February, before the public launch. His April 2 report describes a presentation at Tiffany’s Old Bond Street boutique by Nicola Andreatta.
Tiffany framed the collection around the “New York Minute,” an idea it associates with Charles Lewis Tiffany and the Atlas clock installed on the façade of the company’s store in 1853. In the brand’s account, the clock and the pace of New York stand for the energy and possibility contained in a minute. Fratello explains the name as “CT” for Charles Tiffany and “60” for the New York Minute. Tiffany’s March 2015 announcement and Fratello’s 2015 preview and launch report document those accounts.
What is a Tiffany CT60 watch?
CT60 is a family of Tiffany watches, not one single model. The 2015 range included three-hand watches, chronographs and calendar models, with different case sizes, metals, dials and strap or bracelet options. Tiffany described the overall design as a clean-lined transition from classic to modern, inspired by a gold watch associated with Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1945. The brochure says that the collection pays tribute to the Tiffany watch Roosevelt wore at the Yalta Conference. These are Tiffany’s historical and design claims, rather than independently established provenance for every CT60.

- Petite proportions, clean lines, and modern minimalism define the Hagen Micro. This refined rectangular piece features a white sandblasted dial framed by a polished stainless steel case. The multicolored bracelet lends a distinctive twist. It's designed for those who appreciate the elevated, modern styling of the watch-as-jewelry approach.
- 31mm case, 8mm band width, mineral crystal, Quartz movement with 2-hand analog display, imported.
- Rectangle stainless steel case, with a white dial.
- Two-Tone, stainless steel bracelet.
- Water resistant up to 30m: Will withstand splashes in water.
The brochure presents the collection as Swiss-designed and manufactured, with sapphire crystals front and back, decorated movements and a choice of leather straps or stainless-steel bracelets across the range. It names côtes de Genève, perlage, colimaçon and azurage among the movement finishes, and describes soleil dials with silver and gold poudré numerals. Those broad collection descriptions do not mean every reference shares the same material, complication or finish; check the precise reference.
Nicola Andreatta, identified in the brochure as vice president and general manager of the Tiffany & Co. Watch Center in Switzerland, described the launch as a milestone in Tiffany’s craftsmanship and its New York heritage. Tiffany’s 2015 brochure contains that statement and the brand’s account of the collection.

What movement is in the Tiffany CT60?
It depends on the reference. Tiffany’s product page for a 40 mm stainless-steel three-hand CT60 specifies an automatic mechanical movement, up to 42 hours of power reserve, and Swiss manufacture. The page also lists a Tiffany Blue dial with poudré numerals and water resistance of 10 ATM/100 m. These are specifications for that listed three-hand version, not confirmed specifications for every CT60. The product page is evidence of the stated specifications, not proof of worldwide stock. See Tiffany’s CT60 product specifications.
What did the Tiffany CT60 look like in person?
Broer’s London-preview account gives a useful contemporary view of the steel models. He tried the stainless-steel CT60 on its bracelet and praised its execution, saying it avoided the flimsy or uncomfortable feel he had experienced on some watches. He named the 42 mm chronograph as his personal favorite, describing its design as a convincing interpretation of 1940s and 1950s chronographs. He also noted polished facets against brushed case surfaces and a sapphire caseback. Those details are his impressions from the 2015 preview, not the result of a present-day inspection or test. How much did the Tiffany CT60 cost when it launched?
The following are US launch-era prices reported by Fratello in 2015, not current retail prices or present-day resale valuations.
| 2015 configuration | Reported price |
|---|---|
| 40 mm stainless-steel three-hand, strap | $4,250 — Fratello, 2015 |
| 40 mm stainless-steel three-hand, bracelet | $5,250 — Fratello, 2015 |
| Rose-gold three-hand, strap | $10,000 — Fratello, 2015 |
| 42 mm stainless-steel chronograph | $6,750 — Fratello, 2015 |
| Rose-gold chronograph, strap | $15,000 — Fratello, 2015 |
| Original rose-gold calendar flagship | $19,000 — Fratello, 2015 |
The $19,000 figure refers to the rose-gold calendar flagship described in Fratello’s launch coverage, with time, date and month indication. A separate Tiffany & Co. Japan announcement on November 12, 2015 described a 40 mm annual calendar in 18-carat white gold, limited to 60 pieces, at a Japanese list price of ¥2,430,000. The later white-gold edition is distinct from the rose-gold calendar in Fratello’s report; the two descriptions should not be combined into a single reference. Tiffany Japan also said the white-gold model was nominated in the calendar-watch category at the Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix. Tiffany Japan’s November 2015 announcement gives the edition details and price.

How to compare CT60 references
When identifying or evaluating a CT60, compare the exact reference rather than relying on the collection name alone. The documented range spans 34, 40 and 42 mm cases, with three-hand/date, chronograph and calendar complications; case metals, dial treatments and strap or bracelet configurations also vary.
Quick Recap
- Case size and reference: Confirm the stated diameter and reference number.
- Complication: Distinguish a three-hand/date model from a chronograph or calendar; calendar indications differ by model.
- Materials and finish: Check the case metal, dial and movement details for the specific watch.
- Strap or bracelet: Verify which configuration is fitted rather than assuming options are interchangeable.
- For a pre-owned example: Assess condition, service history, seller documentation and provenance. The historical launch prices above do not establish a current value, and the cited material does not verify the condition or value of any individual listing.
