The company also says its first Peanuts watches appeared in 1969. Its current collection page includes later collaboration products, so it should not be read as a live inventory of those historical anniversary editions.
Which watches were in the Timex x Peanuts 70th-anniversary release?
Timex identifies three model families in the release: the Q Timex 1979 Reissue, the Marlin Automatic, and two iterations of the Timex Standard. That is the roster Timex names for the anniversary release; the page does not provide a complete model-by-model specification table or identify every exact reference.
- Q Timex 1979 Reissue: named by Timex as one of the anniversary models.
- Marlin Automatic: named by Timex as one of the anniversary models.
- Timex Standard: represented by two iterations in Timex’s description.
Timex describes the release as marking Peanuts’ platinum anniversary, referring to the comic strip’s 70 years. The company’s page does not provide a performance or sales statistic associated with the collection.
How the collection fits Timex and Peanuts history
Timex states, “Our first Peanuts watches were introduced back in 1969.” The company does not attribute that sentence to a named spokesperson. The 70th-anniversary watches were therefore presented as a continuation of a collaboration with a history reaching back decades, rather than as the first Timex watches featuring the comic-strip characters.
#1 Best Overall
- Adjustable yellow & black striped 20mm fabric slip-thru strap fits up to 7.5-inch wrist circumference
- White dial with full Arabic numerals featuring Charlie Brown
- Silver-tone 38mm brass case with mineral glass crystal
- Indiglo light-up watch dial
- Water resistant to 30m (100ft): in general, withstands splashes or brief immersion in water, but not suitable for swimming or bathing
Timex describes the wider collaboration as featuring Snoopy, Woodstock, and Charlie Brown across various watches. That broader history should not be confused with the specific anniversary roster: the page names the three model families above for that release, while its current catalog also shows later Timex x Peanuts products.
What is known about specifications and designs?
The official collection page establishes the model-family names, but it does not comprehensively document the anniversary watches’ movements, case dimensions or materials, crystals, straps or bracelets, water resistance, prices at release, or the artwork on each exact reference. Those details should be checked against an individual watch’s reference number and model-specific listing rather than inferred from the usual specifications of the Q Timex 1979 Reissue, Marlin Automatic, or Timex Standard.

For a useful comparison, confirm the following details for the exact edition being considered:
- Reference number and whether the watch is one of the anniversary editions.
- Movement type, case size and material, and crystal.
- Strap or bracelet and stated water resistance.
- Character artwork and dial or case details.
- Original price, if documented for that specific reference, and the date or market to which it applies.
Are the 70th-anniversary watches still available?
Timex’s current US Peanuts collection page is an evolving assortment that includes later collaboration products. It does not establish whether any of the anniversary editions are currently sold or in stock. Treat the anniversary watches as historical releases unless a current, model-specific Timex listing confirms otherwise. If searching resale or retailer listings, verify the reference and photos carefully; a general Timex x Peanuts result does not by itself identify an anniversary model.
