For a real comparison, a deal needs an exact product page, configuration, seller, checkout price and applicable terms. A headline discount alone cannot show whether the item is in stock, new, returnable or genuinely cheaper than its usual selling price.
Oura Ring Gen 3 at $249: a historical price, not a confirmed current offer
Past Best Buy coverage reported the Oura Ring Gen 3 at $249, down from $299; that is evidence of a prior retailer price, not a current promotion. A recent secondary listing also showed a Gen 3 Heritage model at $249 through Amazon, but it does not independently confirm inventory, seller identity, condition or warranty. Check the actual listing and checkout details before treating the figure as available.
Make sure the listing says Gen 3 and identifies the design—Heritage or Horizon—along with finish and size. Marketplace or clearance stock can differ in condition and included accessories; verify whether it is new, whether the charger is included, and what return and warranty protections apply. For older stock, battery condition is also worth checking where the seller can disclose it.

Factor in membership and the newer model
The $249 hardware price does not establish that membership is included. Oura’s promotions guidance, updated June 29, 2026, says partner discounts generally apply to Ring 4 unless a promotion specifically says otherwise, and that promotions generally cannot be combined or stacked: Oura promotions and discount terms. Compare the complete cost and features of Gen 3 with Ring 4 before buying; the available price evidence does not establish that Gen 3 is the better value today. If you do not want a recurring membership, account for that before judging the upfront discount.
Verdict: Consider Gen 3 at $249 only if a reputable seller has the size and finish you want, the condition and protections are clear, and the total cost suits you. Without a live listing, this is a deal to watch, not a confirmed buy.

LG C4 OLED at 45% off: verify the generation, size and price
LG’s November 2024 announcement described up to 45% off selected large TVs and included an 83-inch C4 promotion. That dated sale cannot substantiate a current August 2026 C4 discount. LG’s current promotions page lists savings of up to $700 on selected OLED TVs, but does not establish a 45%-off C4 offer; its promotions can vary by model, retailer, location and inventory: LG US promotions. Model confusion is a particular risk: a promotion result has referred to up to 45% off a 77-inch C5, not necessarily a C4. Check the full model suffix and screen size on the retailer’s product page; a C5 or another OLED line is not a C4 deal. To validate the percentage, compare the live checkout price with a clearly identified reference price, and check whether the TV is clearance stock and whether delivery, installation, mounting or haul-away add costs.

- Look for the exact C4 size—42, 48, 55, 65, 77 or 83 inches—and regional model identifier.
- Confirm the seller, stock, return window and warranty, especially for discontinued clearance inventory.
- Compare the sale price with recent selling prices rather than relying on a crossed-out MSRP alone.
- Consider room conditions: OLED can be a strong fit for dark-room contrast and gaming, while a bright room or extensive static-content use may make a mini-LED alternative more suitable.
Verdict: Do not call this 45% off until a live C4 listing supplies the exact size, retailer, former and sale prices, sale dates, and a checkout price. If the offer is actually for a C5 or another model, label it accurately instead.
Instant Pot Duo at $70: the model details are missing
“Duo” covers multiple multicookers and configurations, including different capacities and generations, as well as related models such as Duo Plus and Duo Crisp. No current $70 listing is established here, so there is no reliable basis to calculate the discount or recommend the price.

Before buying, require the product name and model number, quart capacity, included accessories, seller, condition, shipping cost, warranty and any coupon or membership requirement. Compare the price with the normal selling price for that exact configuration—not a different Duo variant or an MSRP that may not reflect typical retail pricing.
Verdict: Treat $70 as unverified until a retailer page identifies the exact Duo and shows the price at checkout. If the model or capacity is omitted, skip the listing rather than assuming it matches another Instant Pot with a similar name.

“25% off winter fashion” needs a retailer and terms
A category-wide percentage is not enough to judge an apparel promotion. No retailer or current offer terms are identified, and in August “winter fashion” could mean prior-season clearance, early cold-weather stock or a recycled promotion. Those cases can have very different selection and return conditions.
Look for the named store, eligible products, promotion dates, code, minimum spend and exclusions. Check whether the discount applies to coats, boots, sweaters or thermal layers, whether sale items are excluded, and whether reduced items are final sale or have return-shipping charges. Compare actual product prices with other sellers; a percentage off an inflated list price may not represent a meaningful saving.
Verdict: Without a specific retailer and eligible products, there is no substantiated 25%-off deal to recommend. Compare exact items and return terms before placing an order.
