The original 2020 Todd Snyder x Timex Liquor Store Watch is a 38 mm stainless-steel automatic with an ecru-toned dial, gold-tone details and an olive textile-over-leather strap. It was named for Snyder’s New York City Liquor Store boutique and launched at a reported $249–$250. That is a historical price, not a verified current asking price.
What the original Liquor Store Watch is
Todd Snyder and Timex introduced the watch in 2020 as part of their ongoing collaboration. Its name refers to Snyder’s Liquor Store boutique in New York City; the launch coverage says the watch paid homage to his second NYC location. In the April 2020 announcement, MR Magazine quoted Snyder describing it as “top shelf Timex,” based on a vintage timepiece he loved and upgraded for a modern wearer. MR Magazine’s launch report also reproduces his description of it as “simple, strong and sophisticated.”
Specifications reported for the 2020 edition
Professional Watches gives the most detailed specification list. Hypebeast and MR Magazine broadly corroborate the case, movement, dial, strap and exhibition-back details, though terminology varies slightly among the reports.

How to distinguish it from later Liquor Store watches
The Liquor Store name was used for a later Todd Snyder x Timex release, so the name alone does not identify the 2020 original. GQ’s June 14, 2023 coverage describes a different Liquor Store watch as an updated Marlin and reports a $279 price for that later release. That figure is not the original’s launch price or a current price for either model. GQ’s 2023 article covers the later watch.

When checking a listing, compare the identifying design details rather than relying on the product name: the original has a 38 mm steel case, ecru/off-white dial with gold-tone details, and olive textile-over-leather strap. Confirm the movement and caseback details in the listing as well; launch reports identify the 2020 model as an automatic with an exhibition back.

The $249–$250 range comes from 2020 launch coverage. It should not be read as a present-day retail price, resale value or estimate of what a listing is worth. The original launch coverage named ToddSnyder.com as the pre-order destination, but that historical detail does not confirm present inventory. Likewise, a marketplace result bearing the Liquor Store name may refer to the 2023 Marlin-style release rather than the 2020 ecru-dial automatic.
