What is the Toledano & Chan B/1.2?
The B/1.2 is a Toledano & Chan wristwatch described in launch coverage as an evolution of the B/1. Its design draws on angular, brutalist-inspired forms. Rather than changing the basic proportions, the B/1.2 makes its distinction through the dial and crystal: Tahitian mother-of-pearl sits beneath an asymmetrical sapphire crystal.
The watch has a destro layout, meaning its crown is on the left side of the case. The available specifications describe an hours-and-minutes display and a Swiss-made Sellita SW100 automatic movement.

The dial is the most prominent material change identified in launch descriptions. Its Tahitian mother-of-pearl surface brings natural variation to a watch otherwise defined by hard edges and industrial-looking geometry.

Asymmetrical sapphire crystal
The crystal is not presented as a conventional flat, symmetrical cover: its asymmetrical form is part of the B/1.2’s design. Together with the dial, it gives the model a distinct appearance while retaining the B/1’s proportions, according to Waqt’s January 5, 2025 launch report.

Is the B/1.2 left-handed?
It has a left-side crown, so it uses a destro configuration. “Left-handed” is often used informally for this layout, but the placement of the crown is the specific fact established by the model descriptions; it does not by itself establish that the watch is designed exclusively for left-handed wearers.

How much does the Toledano & Chan B/1.2 cost?
Launch coverage in January 2025 reported a price of $5,700 and planned availability in March 2025. Time+Tide Watches’ product page, accessed in 2026, displays $5,850 USD and an “Out of stock” status. These are figures from different dates and sources, not confirmation of a current offer; check the retailer for current pricing and stock.
Hodinkee Japan’s January 6, 2025 report said a 200-piece limitation was planned. That is a launch-era report and does not independently establish the final production quantity.

What is known about water resistance?
Time+Tide Watches’ listing is inconsistent: its descriptive guidance says the watch is suitable for rain but not swimming, while its specification block lists 50 m water resistance. Because those statements do not align, they are not a sound basis for recommending swimming or another specific water activity. Confirm the manufacturer’s current guidance before exposing the watch to water.
