Tom Brady’s watches keep drawing attention because the story combines striking models, documented ownership and wear, public sightings, and a headline-making auction result. Sotheby’s 2024 catalogue lists a wide selection of watches as “Owned and Worn by Tom Brady”; later reports add a Super Bowl LIX sighting and a June 2026 sale of his F.P. Journe Vagabondage II for $960,000. Those records illuminate particular watches—not the contents or value of Brady’s entire collection.
What watches has Tom Brady owned and worn?
Sotheby’s 2024 catalogue for The GOAT Collection: Watches & Treasures from Tom Brady documents a varied selection, with relevant entries labeled “Owned and Worn by Tom Brady.” Its range runs from recognizable sports watches to complicated and vintage pieces. The catalogue is evidence for the watches described in those lots, not a complete inventory of everything Brady has owned or still owns.
| Type | Examples in Sotheby’s catalogue |
|---|---|
| Modern sports watches | IWC Pilot’s Watch TOP GUN Edition SFTI; Tudor Black Bay 58 “Friends of Hodinkee”; Rolex GMT-Master II “Batman”; Rolex Yacht-Master II; and Richard Mille RM35-03 “Baby Nadal.” |
| Distinctive or complicated pieces | Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 50th Anniversary chronograph; a unique Audemars Piguet Royal Oak flying tourbillon made for Brady; and a diamond-set Rolex Day-Date. |
| Vintage and collectible watches | Vintage Rolex Daytonas; Patek Philippe references 3970 and 3700/11; and a 1917 Patek Philippe Grand Complication retailed by Tiffany & Co. |
| Other catalogue entries | Several additional IWC watches. |
Sotheby’s catalogue supplies the lot descriptions and the ownership-and-wear wording. That distinction matters: a catalogue label documents the provenance stated for a specific auction lot; it does not establish a broader claim about every watch associated with Brady.
What watch did Tom Brady wear at Super Bowl LIX?
In a report updated February 9, 2025, AS USA identified the watch Brady wore during his Super Bowl LIX broadcast debut as a Jacob & Co Yellow Sapphire Caviar Tourbillon. The outlet reported a price of $740,000 and described baguette-cut gemstones. That is a media-reported price, not evidence that Brady bought the watch for that amount or that it sold for that amount.

How much did Brady’s F.P. Journe sell for?
WatchPro reported that Brady’s F.P. Journe Vagabondage II sold at Sotheby’s in June 2026 for $960,000, calling the result a record for that reference. Its report says the reference was produced in 2010 and 2011, with a production limit of 69 platinum pieces. The $960,000 figure is the reported result for that specific auctioned watch; it is not an estimate, an asking price, or a valuation of other Vagabondage II examples.
WatchPro’s account of the sale also quotes John Reardon, founder of Collectability, offering his view that “Many new buyers in this market are flush with cash and determined to make a killing buying and selling.” Reardon also said, “Brands like F.P. Journe are at the top of a mania supported by an enthusiastic crowd with a common interest in seeing record after record break.” These are his observations, not market-wide measurements.

Why do Brady’s watches attract attention?
The watches themselves
The catalogue’s selection makes clear that interest is not limited to one signature style. It includes familiar sports-watch designs, gem-set and anniversary pieces, complex mechanisms such as a flying tourbillon, and vintage references. Model, reference, materials, condition, and complications are all relevant to understanding why individual watches stand out.
The provenance
A documented connection to a high-profile owner can make a particular lot more compelling to collectors. Sotheby’s lot descriptions provide the specific provenance claim for the watches it labels as owned and worn by Brady. That connection is part of an individual watch’s story, but it does not establish a universal premium or a predictable increase in value for every celebrity-owned watch.

The public story behind the collection
Hodinkee’s October 1, 2024 account says Brady traced his interest in watches to an IWC GST Automatic Alarm he bought at Tourneau in Manhattan after his first Super Bowl win in 2002. It also notes his earlier TAG Heuer ambassadorship and an IWC ambassadorship beginning in 2019, alongside later sightings across brands after his retirement. This is a reported account of his watch history, not a complete chronology.
Hodinkee’s October 2024 article provides that background; Sotheby’s catalogue and later dated reports document particular lots and sightings. Together, those sources show why the watches continue to make news without proving what Brady’s remaining collection contains or is worth.

What does a celebrity auction result tell you about a watch’s value?
An auction result is evidence of what a particular watch realized in a particular sale. It is not interchangeable with an estimate, a dealer’s asking price, a retail price, or the value of another example. For a collectible watch, the result needs to be read alongside its exact reference, condition, materials, provenance, and sale context. A famous owner can add a documented story, but the individual Brady results do not establish how much celebrity ownership affects the wider watch market.
Quick Recap
- Realized auction result: the amount reported for a completed sale, such as the $960,000 result WatchPro reported for the Vagabondage II.
- Reported price: a figure attached to a watch by a media report, such as AS USA’s $740,000 figure for the Jacob & Co sighting; it does not prove a transaction.
- Estimate or asking price: a guide or seller’s requested amount, not proof of what a buyer paid.
