The Traser P99 Iris Limited Edition is a Swiss-made quartz watch with a 16-blade iris that opens or covers the dial when you turn the bezel a quarter turn. Traser says it is limited to 300 pieces. The available material here is manufacturer and retailer information, not a hands-on evaluation, so this overview does not claim personal experience with its operation, comfort, legibility, or durability.
How the iris mechanism works
The P99 Iris’s defining feature is a mechanical diaphragm made of 16 blades beneath the anti-reflective sapphire crystal. Traser says turning the grooved bezel a quarter turn counterclockwise closes the iris; turning it clockwise opens or retracts the blades. When closed, the iris covers the dial and changes how visible it is. That is not the same as making the watch literally undetectable.

Traser describes the mechanism as protected beneath the sapphire crystal, tested for durability, and requiring no lubrication. The company also says the blades need no lubrication and calls the watch maintenance-free. These are manufacturer claims; no independent durability or maintenance testing is established here. Traser’s 2025 launch announcement explains the mechanism and its direction of operation.
Light and visibility
The watch combines the iris with Traser’s self-illuminating trigalight technology. Traser’s collection page describes the new Super Powered trigalights as 20% brighter, a manufacturer comparison rather than an independently verified brightness measurement. The iris covers the dial; the available product information does not establish that it eliminates every visible light signature or makes the watch undetectable.

Confirm the exact reference and strap with the seller before ordering.
Is the P99 Iris the right watch for you?
Consider it if the iris is the point
The rotating iris is the central reason to choose this model: it physically covers the dial rather than simply changing a display setting. The mechanism and tactical styling are distinctive, but the concealment language should be understood as a description of dial coverage, not proof of invisibility.
Check the fit of a 46 mm case
A 46 mm case is a substantial size. Case diameter alone cannot determine fit on a particular wrist, and no firsthand wear assessment is established here. If size is a concern, compare the published dimensions with a watch you already wear or try the watch on in person.
Choose the strap configuration deliberately
The EU listings pair 111460 with NATO and 111461 with rubber. The technical-data PDF’s additional reference and strap information is not confirmation of current stock. Verify the SKU, included strap, and local availability rather than assuming that every market offers every configuration.

Traser lists 10 bar (10 atm) water resistance. That is the published rating, not a promise of suitability for every water activity or a substitute for following the manufacturer’s use and maintenance guidance.

At the time of the listed EU pages’ review on October 7, 2026, Traser showed EUR 919.99 for reference 111460 and EUR 979.99 for 111461, including German VAT. Traser notes that VAT may vary with the destination, and prices can change. Those figures are not universal prices. The technical-data PDF contains document-era figures of CHF 795 with a textile strap and CHF 855 with a rubber strap; they are not verified as current prices. Check the relevant regional product page or dealer for today’s price and stock. Traser’s global P99 Iris page describes the collection and limited edition.
What the available evidence can—and cannot—tell you
Manufacturer pages and announcements establish the published specifications, the stated edition size, and how Traser says the iris operates. They do not substitute for firsthand reporting on bezel feel, day-to-day legibility, comfort, or long-term wear. The MB-Microtec announcement also explains the product, while Traser’s technical-data PDF provides additional reference information.
