What is the exact Black Bay Chrono Blue reference?
The reference is M79360B-0002. TUDOR identifies it as the blue-dial Black Bay Chrono boutique edition: a domed blue dial with silver counters, a date at 6 o’clock and a five-link steel bracelet. It is distinct from other Black Bay Chrono references, including black-dial versions, and from the separate “Flamingo Blue” model. TUDOR says this version is available exclusively at select TUDOR boutiques, rather than claiming availability at every boutique.

Case size, bracelet and dial details
The stainless-steel case measures 41 mm across, 14.4 mm thick, with a 22 mm lug width. TUDOR lists polished and satin-brushed finishes. The fixed steel bezel has a blue anodised aluminium insert and a silver-marked tachymetric scale; the domed sapphire crystal sits above the blue dial and its silver counters.

The bracelet is a five-link stainless-steel design with polished and satin-brushed finishes. Its T-fit clasp allows rapid adjustment. The published dimensions help describe the watch, but they do not establish how it will fit or feel on a particular wrist; that depends on wrist shape, sizing and individual preference.
Movement, functions and chronograph layout
The watch uses TUDOR Manufacture Calibre MT5813, a self-winding mechanical chronograph with a bidirectional rotor system. TUDOR identifies the movement as COSC-certified and gives an approximate 70-hour power reserve. Its product sheet also specifies a variable-inertia balance, a non-magnetic silicon balance spring, 41 jewels and a frequency of 28,800 beats per hour (4 Hz).

These are manufacturer specifications, not an independent accuracy or timing assessment. TUDOR lists water resistance of 200 m (660 ft).
How to set the time and date
TUDOR’s guidance describes the screw-down winding crown as the control for setting the time and date, and for winding the watch if it has not been worn. After handling the crown, screw it fully back down to maintain the stated water resistance.

How to use the chronograph and tachymeter
According to TUDOR, the pusher at 2 o’clock starts and stops the chronograph; the pusher at 4 o’clock resets it. The tachymeter scale is used with the chronograph to calculate speed or flow rate for a chosen unit. The scale is a timing aid, not a substitute for selecting the correct unit or method for the task.
