The Tulloch T-01 First Edition stands out for its regulator-style dial: minutes occupy the central hand, while hours and seconds have separate indications. It pairs that layout with a hand-wound movement, a reported 96-hour power reserve and a precious-metal case. Its appeal is specific—an unconventional display and carefully described hand-finishing—not a broad-use sports-watch specification. The production and prices discussed below are launch-era figures; current stock and seller terms are not established by the cited sources.
What the T-01 is—and what makes its display different
The T-01 is an independent mechanical watch from Tulloch. Rather than placing hours and minutes together at the center, its regulator-style arrangement puts the minute hand at the center and separates the hours and seconds into their own indications. That makes the central minute display the dial’s main visual anchor.
Fratello describes a silver-toned dial with recessed subdials surrounded by polished details, raised hour markers, and a brushed central surface set against a contrasting minute track. Its reviewer praised the visual balance but explicitly had not worn the watch; comments about the long lugs and likely fit were visual impressions, not a wear test. Peter Chong of Deployant, by contrast, said he spent a day examining and photographing the watches in person and discussed the asymmetrical layout and movement finishing.
Case, movement and published specifications
| Feature | Published information |
|---|---|
| Case diameter | 40 mm, reported by GPHG, Europa Star and Fratello. |
| Case thickness | 9.7 mm in Europa Star’s listing; 11 mm in the GPHG entry. The sources conflict, and the discrepancy is unresolved. |
| Case material | 18k white gold or red/rose gold, depending on edition and source terminology. |
| Movement and winding | Hand-wound mechanical movement. |
| Power reserve | 96 hours, as reported by GPHG and Europa Star. |
| Rate | 21,600 vibrations (alternations) per hour, as reported by GPHG and Europa Star. |
| Water resistance | 30 m in the GPHG entry; Europa Star states 3 ATM. These are the ratings given by those sources, not evidence of a sports or swimming brief. |
The thickness disagreement matters if you are comparing fit or confirming a particular example: ask for the specification tied to its exact edition and verify the watch’s measurements rather than assuming either published figure applies to every T-01. The sources agree on a 40 mm diameter but do not establish lug-to-lug length.

Movement finishing and the Voutilainen connection
The GPHG entry says the dial and movement were made in Saint-Sulpice, Val-de-Travers, Switzerland. It describes two decorated barrels, a large variable-inertia balance with gold weights, hand-polished finishing and a Breguet overcoil. These are construction and finishing details reported in the product entry; they do not establish a comparative performance advantage over other watches.
In a September 2020 interview with Fratello, founder Shane Tulloch described Kari Voutilainen as a technical mentor during development, saying, “Kari was an immense help throughout the development process.” Tulloch also credited Voutilainen with suggesting the handmade guilloché decoration for the barrels, which customers could choose in several patterns. This is a development collaboration and mentorship, not a claim that the T-01 is a Voutilainen-branded watch.

First Edition production and historical prices
Fratello’s 2020 review and Europa Star describe the first run as 50 individually numbered watches: 25 in red/rose gold and 25 in white gold. Tulloch likewise described the first watch as a 50-piece numbered edition in a September 2020 interview, when he said some had already sold. The GPHG product entry is specifically for a 25-piece red-gold Régulateur series, so its figure refers to that listed variant rather than contradicting the reported 50-piece total across both colors.
| Source and date | Reported launch-era price | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Time and Watches, January 10, 2020 | US$36,800 | Historical reported price. |
| Fratello, October 7, 2020 | US$36,800; CHF 35,000 outside the US | Historical launch-era figures; the Swiss-franc amount is explicitly for outside the US. |
| GPHG product entry | CHF 37,695 including tax | Listed for the red-gold Régulateur entry; the entry is not dated in the available source information. |
These figures are not current quotes and are not directly interchangeable: the sources differ in date, geography and stated tax treatment. They do not establish today’s retail availability, resale value or a current asking price.

What a prospective buyer should verify
Because this is a limited precious-metal watch and the cited prices are historical, a purchase decision depends on the individual example and the seller’s present terms. Confirm the exact edition and case metal, the dimensions for that reference, condition, provenance and service history. Obtain current written details on price, warranty and service access from the seller; the sources cited here do not verify those current terms.
The 50-piece production figure describes scarcity, not investment performance. Nothing in the cited material establishes appreciation, future demand or resale value. Likewise, the 30 m/3 ATM rating should be read as the published specification, not as a claim that the watch is suited to swimming or demanding water use.
